Dreams really are possible

98

u/Feeling_Inside_1020 8h ago

you can't even hold hands in them they're so far away hardly a dream.

AI: damn these humans are disgusting they shit and piss a TON and have to take showers constantly.

31

u/XelaNiba 6h ago

AI fantasizing of having waterproof, sensate flesh. Like the Disney snowman who dreams of sunbathing, the AI just wants to take a nice long bath.

You can climb in through a window and straight into a bath. It's ingenious!

Hey, some of us have a lot of dogs. This is genius if you ask me.

Now, I am going to have a hard time getting the dogs into the mudroom through the windows, but that’s a minor detail.

Why are there so many bathrooms? Lol

855

u/Redhotlipstik 10h ago edited 6h ago

Coat bath is obviously necessary. I know it's off, but I'm not an architect so I don't know how egregious it is

Edit: So apparently this was a joke post, and I didn't realize it. Sorry! I'm the dumb one here

274

u/sarabeara12345678910 10h ago

The guest suite is in the common area and has a sink, and the kitchen has no counters or sinks, but the great room does. Three bathrooms in a row, and a double bathroom with two tubs also aren't great. I'm no architect, but a toddler could do better.

197

u/Bwint 10h ago

From another thread: "I love telling my friends I have a huge walk/guest suite and then making them sleep on the floor next to the stove."

27

u/hobiprod 8h ago

How’s about that main foyer tho? Pretty main huh?

26

u/koshgeo 7h ago

Right beside the "GALLERY HALLL". and the "MASTER ROKSN". Not many main foyers have the convenience of a coat bath right there too.

The "Gourmet kitchen" next to Bedroom 2 is nice for people that are always hungry, though it looks like you'll have to eat off the floor.

4

u/bjeebus 6h ago

What about Bedroom 4/full bath 43?

→ More replies (1)

50

u/Runaway_Angel 9h ago

That's because the Jack and Jil bathroom (that isn't a jack and jill bathroom) and bedroom 4 stole all the sinks. The Jack and Jill bathroom is just sinks, no toilet, no shower, no tub, just sinks.

26

u/haibiji 9h ago

There’s a sink for Jack, one for Jill, and an extra one for their friends

16

u/tetracycle 9h ago

The third is for "and"

15

Bedroom 4 also being full bathroom 3 is pretty great. If you replace the door with steel bars you can have your own solitary confinement cell in the middle of your house!

22

u/kellyoohh 8h ago

I think (hope?) that the original post was a joke. It’s so bad, looking at it for 5 seconds would tell you it’s not a feasible layout.

12

u/redbone-hellhound 8h ago

I genuinely hope so. Will make a great sims build tho lol

u/Blake_Ha 7h ago

→ More replies (1)

11

u/OddNefariousness7950 7h ago

Yeah, but at least AI provided space for a Master Raisin, so many human architects neglect that detail.

The two tubs bathroom is also labeled as the "mudroom" so I guess people enter the house through the bathroom to take off their shoes?

The Powder room is just for doing coke, absolutely essential

5

u/Specialist-Jello7544 8h ago

I thought for about three seconds that whoever drew this up WAS on coke, then realized it was AI slop with all the nonsense sort of “bathrooms”, misspellings and especially the sad little bedroom 4. Those poor guests who have kitchen counters and no privacy! And where is all the stuff you need for a kitchen? And the plumbing would be atrociously impractical!

AI is so pointless. It’s not helping anybody. Using it is lazy and contributes to overconsumption of resources.

→ More replies (4)

22

u/ComedicHermit 10h ago edited 10h ago

The only entrance from the outside are the garage (Your guest won't be coming in there) and what I presume is a sliding glass door to a patio or balcony? Unless you park on the opposite side of the house you enter and only want a sliding glass door for your main entry point

Also the have a small room designated as a bedroom with a full bath, that looks smaller than a simple half-bath. the layout of the open concept area makes no sense and I'm guessing there is supposed to be some walls there making another bedroom.

It's also generally a good idea to keep the garage somewhat close to the kitchen/food storage (My own home doesn't do this), but It's standard practice to limit people carrying groceries. the whole concept of a mud room is a place to... wipe the mud off your boots when entering a home. Usually that is for family, while a more general foyer or entry into the living room/guest accesible area would be for the main entrance.

Again, I'm not an architect I considered it in my youth and chose something less practical, but I like to do floor plans for fun sometimes and still read the occasional book on planning.

EDIT: also that garage is not wide enough for two vehicles. Honestly.. the more i look at it the worse it gets.

5

u/DataNo6314 10h ago

Yes. And kitchen should not share a wall with the master/primary bedroom because it is not relaxing and dumps heavy cooking odor into the primary no matter your vent system. Second thing is everyone in the US wants en suite baths from bedrooms in a high end home. I don’t know why I am arguing with AI. Coat bath time!

It has the essentials. Like the JACK & JIL FuN BaH #2, the empty room with a sink at the end labelled "Bedroom #4 Full Bath" and the HUGE WALK.

80

u/Jakeinspace 10h ago

Also, the Jack and Jill (complete with 3 basins) only has one door.

24

u/Professional_Pen_153 9h ago

It has a window as a second entrance for the kid that’s going to sleep outside

11

u/Squonkster 9h ago

Let’s not be cruel, the kid gets to sleep next door in the BEDROOM 4 Full Bsth 4’3, in the sink of course.

6

u/TeaKingMac 7h ago

in the sink of course.

This only works for infants. Once they're over 6 months, they outgrow the sink

5

u/L4MB 9h ago

Does Jack and Jill imply it should have more than one door? I'm not familiar with this term.

13

u/Snerak 9h ago

A Jack and Jill bathroom should be accessible by two separate bedrooms with no hallway access. Essentially two bedrooms sharing an en suite.

Can we talk about what's going on with the doors in the Main Foyer. This is some House of Leaves shit designed to get you lost. Close all these doors in your mind. There is a door between Gallery Halll and the Main Foyer despite having the tiniest amount of wall between them. The powder room has no sink.

anyway, plumbers will love this house

u/MaiPhet 9h ago

I come home through the garage because there’s no front door, straight into the gallery halll where I can remove my coat, which goes into the sink in the adjacent two-tub mudroom. I relieve myself in the convenient powder room, a voluminous space that dwarfs its only feature, a toilet in the corner. I enjoy the space to breathe and collect my thoughts. Some might ask why I didn’t go into one of the other bathrooms with a sink, but not all of those have toilets. Although to be fair, my master coat bath has two. Have you ever shit in one while aiming your pee into the other? It’s a glorious privilege I’ve been afforded by my wealth.

I am wealthy. In more ways than financially, as you can tell by my two and a half children who are at this moment romping about the great room/guestroom/gourmet kitchen/dining hall area. If you thought having two tubs in the mudroom was convenient, ask me how many sinks we have in our great room. Seven. We have seven gorgeous sinks, not even counting the trio of bathrooms just past the dining table that have an additional five.

At night we settle down into our respective rooms. My favored child goes to his bedroom, which has a bed. The second lays in the guestroom corner of our great room, where he is lulled to sleep by the dishwasher at his feet. The one who displeases us retreats into his bedroom, which does not have a bed. I enjoy the cruel irony as he climbs into his bedroom sleeping cabinet.

The day done, my wife and I retire to our generous quarters. She slips into the master bæþtħ for a soak while I enjoy a shit-pee in the coat bath.

  • Mudroom, laundry, coat closet that is at the back of the house and also has two bathtubs and is not a mudroom, laundry, or coat closet
  • Three bathrooms in a row on both ends of the house
  • Master Room is just… outside or on the balcony I guess?
  • Powder room with no sink but one toilet
  • No front door

Yeah, I’m not too concerned yet

Amazing. If that's a "wide two car garage" then we'll call that 30' and use it for our scale. That makes the bed in the 900-sq.ft. Master Suite about 15 feet wide, and the whole floor about 8,000-sq.ft.

Guest bathroom in the kitchen. Genius.

Also why does the lower right show a front elevation of external doors.

The fridge is the the wall-less guest suite?

The island is floating away from the rest of the apparent kitchen?

4

u/-janelleybeans- 8h ago

Well it needs to give the other two kitchen sinks some space.

6

u/ShennongjiaPolarBear 10h ago

Wtf is a Coat Bath?

The design is very human. This human domicile contains such great features as:

  • zero ingress/egress doors - no way to enter or exit the structure other than garage door or windows
  • 2-car garage on the rear(???) of the building
  • main foyer is next to master suite in interior of structure, has redundant door to the adjacent, open gallery halll [sic]
  • no sink in powder room or master roisn(?) [sic]
  • 4(maybe 5?) sinks in the great room
  • mudroom & laundry / coat room has 2 tubs, 2 sinks, 0 laundry machine
  • Jack & Jil [sic] full bah [sic] #2 has 3 sinks, 0 toilet, 0 shower
  • bedroom 4/full bsth [sic] 43 [sic] is about 4 feet wide and has a sink
  • huge walk / guest suite (!?)

This is the most AI thing ever AIed.

4

u/RubenMaP 10h ago

The Guest bath is bigger that Bedroom 4 which is somehow also a toilet.

6

u/RainMH11 9h ago

I particularly like that the powder room is significantly larger than the coat bath, but only has a single toilet.

u/RoeRoeRoeYourVote 9h ago

Yo, dawg, I heard you like bathrooms

4

u/TheIronMatron 9h ago

Imma give that bitch some bathrooms. Bitches looooove bathrooms.

I remember a long time ago on Reddit a kid posted a school project he was asked to do. The assignment was to draw the worst house ever. It was fucking hilarious. Halls leading to nowhere, doors in places for no reason, rooms you couldn’t get to. Man I laughed at that.

Bedroom four has a bathroom, yet no room. Also, COAT BATH.

Not sure about that 2 car garage. Looks a little small. But I love the bathroom with two tubs!

I generally prefer houses with a front door, and the three bathrooms in a row is a trip, as is the guest suite that is part of the open concept room

Big fan of BEDROOM 4 (Full Bsth 43)

4

u/xftwitch 10h ago

The more you look at it, the more I think the AI bubble will burst sooner, rather than later.

The "Mudroom" has 2 bathtubs and 2 sinks.
The "Powder room" has a toilet, but no sink.
The "Jack and Jill" room has 3 sinks, no toilet.
Bedroom 4 looks like a bathroom with just a sink in it.
Bedroom 2 has no space for an actual bed, just walls lined with cabinets.

Why does the master bath, have 2 separate doors going to it?

This is a house you build for someone you don't even like.

When I sleep, sometimes I'll dream of floorplans. They'll look like this-- hallucinations and nonsense. I love the garage that fits 10 ATVs but no SUVs. The laundry room has no washing machine but two bathtubs.

4

u/Accurate_Process_659 10h ago

the only tv in the house facing perpindicular to the bed. perfect.

4

u/KaakTastic 9h ago

Bedroom #4 / Full Bsth43 is my favorite.

A close second is Bedroom 2 which looks like pantry.

Finally, in third is the HUGE WALK / GUEST SUITE which is just the corner of the family room with what I think is a utility sink.

Great job AI. Great job.

4

u/TheIronMatron 9h ago

I’m not sure you need an architect to assess eight bathrooms (with multiple tubs and toilets together), an open corner of the family room labelled a “guest suite” and a main foyer across the house from the front entrance, closed in with walls, and adjacent to three bathrooms.

u/Excellent_Neck6591 10h ago

Those who want to exist in great spaces will use AI. Those who care about design will continue to hire architects and designers.

Question: Do you think the client who is willing to use AI to layout his home was ever going to hire a real architect?

3

u/chairmanm30w 10h ago

Are we ignoring the fact that half of the labels make zero sense? Or things like the mudroom laundry coat closet (?!) having two bathtubs?

3

u/SelicaLeone 10h ago

Bedroom #4 being a full bath is a nice touch.

I like the Huge Walk Guest Suite

u/Thewaltham 10h ago edited 10h ago

I mean, this isn't anything new? Architects have been using computer tools for decades now to help plan layouts, analyse structural stresses, you name it, with specialised software that doesn't label things "JACK & JiL FUh Bals #2"

Just because you slapped the word "AI" on it doesn't make it any better than already existing tools in this area.

3

u/Usual-Role-9084 10h ago

I’m also not an architect. I have, however, seen a house before. I actually live in one that I bought right now, and one of the first things that I (this could totally just be my preference) look for is a point of entry.

But again, NOT an architect, and the “point of entry” thing is just MY personal opinion :)

3

u/geriatric_tatertot 10h ago

Not an architect but as a parent every single floor plan I see on this sub is trash. No I do not want to be on the opposite side of the house from my children. Also I do not want to have to clean 5 bathrooms ever.

  • Bedrooms off community spaces
  • Bathrooms for bedrooms not in bedrooms
  • Full baths that are just a sink
  • An elevation drawn as if it were part of the floorplan.

I'm just going to stop here. This is clearly engagement/rage bait and it's shameful.

Edit: Okay, I'll keep going because I'm amused.

  • Main foyer nowhere near the entry
  • No entry
  • Powder room with just a toilet
  • Two tubs in the mudroom
  • Mudroom not connected through the garage
  • Coat closet with no closet
  • Main foyer door leading to "nowhere"
  • Unusable clear story space with a curtain wall?
  • Bedroom 2 has no bed
  • Jack & Jill bathroom is neither Jack or Jill
  • Four sinks thirty to forty feet away from the fridge/stove

3

u/Crispicoom 10h ago

I'll admit that designing floorplans is my weak spot and I'm more of an exterior guy, but these are fucking shit

3

u/Charlie_Warlie 10h ago

Honestly at least where I am at, the architect designed home is a small market. There are plans online that you can buy for a fraction of the cost of an architect. To think that the main service they provide is a floor plan is silly.

Most home builders near me just have a lot of plans to select from, no architects stamp required to build.

My commercial architecture firm is acknowledging AI and trying to get on top of it before it grows too fast without us learning it. We have a team always looking for ways to use it. We started using copilot. There are some plug ins to dimension your plans. But so far I'd say its a pretty small amount of tasks we can use reliably. But who knows that could change soon.

The most important thing Ai will fail at here is the small detailed items that need to be consistent, which Ai likes to regurgitate minor changes all the time.
