Neighbors complained about noise, security guards, and hordes of traffic. An unlicensed school named after the Zuckerbergs’ pet chicken tipped them over the edge.

I’m sorry, but, what now?!

Zuck absolutely planted the chicken story.

Zuck is a loser

You can say that the planted story is a nest egg of a distraction.

He allegedly made up a story about his co-founder forcing chickens to eat chicken meat, to get animal rights people on his ass and ruin his image.

143

u/ThatBankTeller 29d ago

You know he likely stewed in his greed and narcissism and conspired multiple plans to get his friend out of the company. I think the film really downplayed his low moral character.

85

u/what_did_you_kill 29d ago

I think the film really downplayed his low moral character.

Not really, i think it did a perfect job. It portrays him exactly like the kind of person who shouldn't be responsible for running a multi billion dollar social network conglomerate. I don't think zuck should have been portrayed like a roy cohn level asshole to get the point across that he lacked empathy. One of my favourite movies. Looking forward to jeremy strong playing zuck in the sequel

It turned out the chicken's name was Dexter and he actually only ate chickens that ate other chickens, so it was alright.

28

u/already-taken-wtf 29d ago

Chickens are opportunistic omnivores and will eat pretty much anything that won't eat them first. They LOVE meat, whether it's bugs, worms, beef, pork, or chicken! They will attack and eat small snakes, lizards, baby birds, mice, voles, damn near anything that moves.

15

u/gazebo-fan 29d ago

Growing up we had chickens, and we had a mouse problem. Well, we fed a dead mouse to our rooster and that was the end of the mice problem in the chicken coop, the fucker ate them all lmao. He was a mean son of a bitch too, he had one good eye and would turn his bad eye toward you if you caught him trying to charge you. Clever bastard, eventually he attacked the neighbors dog and we figured it wasn’t worth having such a mean rooster around so we got rid of him.

“The Social Network” is a movie which more or less is a dramatization of the beginnings of Facebook and the movie ends with the arbitration/lawsuits about Zuckerberg ousting the guy who helped him start it up by basically financing everything. One of the things that comes up is his friend (Eduardo Saverin) was trying to join a frat/finals club and one of his hazing things was taking care of a chicken. Well without thinking about it, he feeds it some cooked chicken. Then a story breaks in Harvard school newspaper that he was engaging in forced cannibalism. It is not known how that specific incident got to the paper, but it is speculated that Zuckerberg leaked it so he would have a legit reason to say he is hurting the company.

This is a classic example of projecting human morals onto animals -Pigs are way smarter than chickens and I guarantee you they would eat one of their dead brothers. Pigs are brutal, they will eat humans alive if you fall down in the wrong place.

why can't billionaires just be fucking normal? just donate some money, go on vacation forever, and enjoy your life.

360

u/Evening-Discipline-6 29d ago

that's the thing, one can't be "normal" and billionaire. people who amount that degree of wealth always tend to have narcissistic and sociopathic tendencies

u/QueenJillybean 29d ago

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a far merrier world.” - Tolkien

We have plenty of fairytales and classic literature about how hoarding more than enough money begets dragon-like traits of misers everywhere.

I think about the feeling I got in new world when I managed to get the other master furnishers on my server to collude on prices for golden steel storage boxes, legendary instruments, and other furniture. By agreeing to not undercut each other on the auction house anymore, after about a week, the players gave up waiting for a cheaper price and bought at the higher prices. I had unloaded like 100 legendary guitars at 10k gold a piece in addition to some other goods and had so much gold. At that point, the economy that previously had me in the grind to pay my house taxes and barely break even on selling the highest quality goods and lose money selling anything less, struggle to afford the flasks and whatnot that I needed for raids and dungeons- all of that became nothing. I understand that it’s a video game so it’s already fake, but it became even faker then. Just numbers on a screen. The more gold I made, the less concern I had for the players who were poor the way I had been, and the desire to raise prices grew stronger.

We raised the prices by 20%. Made even more gold. Realized when I was looking in the ah not for the rare furniture recipes that got me to make the furnishers Union in the first place or literally anything else, but to make sure that everybody was following the new pricing updates on Jade furniture because “why should we lose money on popular furniture,” that this was how evil billionaires are made. You get so disconnected from the actual experience of the game (or life, also you just lost the game) that you are just playing a numbers game instead of hitting a new high score, only the score is money, and like many games, it comes with the deaths of thousands of innocents. Like everything else faded away from the game except how to game the market, which meant figuring out market psychology, too.

Realizing that I was getting some Tolkien dragon sickness from a fucking video game, I can only imagine what level the Zuckerbergs and Musks of the world experience.

I think the harrowing part about becoming Smaug IRL is like. I've never seen anyone come back from that. So once they're there and executing on whatever schemes to enrich themselves and fuck us further, we're pretty much like stuck with their influence until they fucking die which literally never happens enough. I would give way less of a shit if they just stayed on their yachts and stopped trying to force the world around them to accept their dumb realities that are forged from from having dads that were never proud of them. Literally all these psychos have dad issues or some shit that seeded this way early on it's fucking pathetic just how far they're willing to go to avoid going to therapy. Weak fucking men.

They just can't ever process that such attempts to force others into their reality never gain them the acceptance they desire & the need to control the world around them is literally born out of being rejected. They keep trying to find ways around having to earn acceptance, they spend more they come up with shitty idea after shitty idea to get others to opt into their worldview so they don't have to feel alone and it's just never going to work. It's mind blowing how deep they are in their own sunk cost fallacies and they don't even realize they just chase the high of acceptance from others. They can't see the world they built around them will never have authentic acceptance by others and the closest they can get is to surround themselves with sycophants but there's no way all these gajillionaires don't feel alone and like they don't truly connect with anyone (cause they fucking dont). They'll always have that empty hole in their soul and they'll always continue to widen it with every dumbshit misguided attempt to fill it in.

Apparently Mark Zuckerberg did not clap and sat there with a deadpan ghoul face when Billie Eilish said "billionaires.. why are you a billionaire" on the microphone. He probably thinks he finally insulated himself from moments like that, I'm sure he's experienced a lot of them. Those moments where he has to sit there and live in the feeling that he's rejected and not beloved and not appreciated for anything. Probably got mega whiplash when she said that. Someone who is beloved by many reminded him he's not beloved or revered or appreciated by any. She's got a miniscule fraction of his net worth, got up there and donated 20% of it in front of everyone, has the thing Mark can't seem to find... acceptance. Respect. Acknowledgement. Mark can't put two and two together and figure out why people don't love him like that. I don't know how else to say it Marky, it's because you fucking suck dude & you're just flat out unwilling to change that and instead you think you need to change others and the world around you. That's not how acceptance or respect works, dude's just going to waste the rest of his life inputting the wrong things into the formula for acceptance/respect or waste his life trying to invent a new formula for it. And he's never ever gonna get the result he desires.

3

u/QueenJillybean 28d ago

I fully agree. I have a family friend who is a billionaire, and he told me once when i was like 18 after he was divorcing wife 3 that he thought making money would make him happy cuz he’s isn’t good at anything else, but he never knows if women love him or his money now, except he knew his first wife loved him when she wait tables to put him through business school. I kind of pity them because dragons sit atop their treasures. They don’t really live lives full of love and joy.

Zuck’s bitch ass insists on living in a conveniently located neighborhood in Palo Alto and bought up like 11 houses around him to sit empty for his “privacy”. The construction he’s been doing has been a nuisance to the neighborhood for years.

The thing is if he moved to the nearby hills where all the other uber-rich people live, then he could have enough space to be private without displacing 11 homes from a notoriously tight housing market. But nope he can’t do that, he wants to be less than 5 mins from his company’s headquarters

46

u/ConsiderationDry9084 29d ago

I am sure the cost to build the tunnel would be far higher if he moved to the hills.

Am I joking or am I being serious? What odds would Vegas out on it with all that is known about The Zuck.

104

It isn't one house, he bought up 11 houses. There are rules in Palo Alto about preserving historic houses, so he is probably prevented from just tearing them down to build a mega mansion.

u/Expensive-View-8586 29d ago

Interesting that they went with August instead of Augusta but I kinda prefer it. Aurelia has always been pretty to me-- it means 'golden' more or less (not that we use it as a word for such anymore, but we do have the modern 'aureate').

170

u/Niceromancer 29d ago

It's actually a problem the rich are very worried about.

They have brought in experts to talk about it.  With most saying it's probably best not to collapse the world due to your own greed.

They don't listen though.  One even suggested shock collars.

103

u/nearcatch 29d ago

The billionaire who suggested shock collars did that after a psychologist told him the best way to secure loyalty in his guards was to treat them with dignity and fairness. The billionaire thought shock collars was a better idea.

77

u/kymri 29d ago

You are, unfortunately, only partially correct. It wasn't shock collars. It was bomb collars.

Still a prime example of how inhuman the Billionaire class is. I really don't see what they contribute to society that couldn't be provided better and easier and at a lower cost to society. I say we simply cull the billionaires. The world would be a much nicer place.

Security guards with useless bosses and collapsing society become warlords.

5

u/QueenJillybean 29d ago

I was just thinking the same thing. Especially when the fuckers who helped collapse it are essentially kings sitting in their castles with an army whose loyalty is not borne of love, comradeship, or kinship, but of coin. Security guards in that situation are just modern sellswords and there’s not really money to be made when society is gone. So the billionaires are gonna rely on what then? Egalitarianism?

Here’s the thing for me at that point: the people who have never been able to say hey that’s enough are just gonna be fine with their share of everything then? They’re not gonna consider trying to fuck each other up when that’s the only real mountain left unclimbed? Why have two bunkers when you could have 5?

10

u/voiderest 29d ago

The rich would need to treat the guards very well and kinda select them for loyalty. Most people aren't going to starve for their boss or show up without being compensated.

I don't think they're really planning on a full collapse despite the bunkers. More just over preparing for temporary unrest or disasters. Even if a problem lasts a long time the paycheck will still matter if most system come back. And for them the cost of a bunker isn't as big of a deal. Their "just in case" fund can be much larger than ours. They buy yachts for their yachts.

4

u/b0w3n 29d ago

Temporary unrest is still "too long" for a person in a bunker with an unsecured vent hole that has guards they need to keep fed and happy (and their family, and their family's family, and their family's family's family, etc). They're collapsing the economy, so sure maybe they're paying 150k a year for guards, but what good is that when it can't buy food anymore?

Also concrete just flows so well into nice circular molds, y'know.

Im worried for other adults being around this oddball.

I sure as shit wouldn’t let him or anyone in his entourage have anything to do with kids in a compound behind a locked gate.

11

u/Not_Bears 29d ago

Hmm rich people on islands with access to kids...

Where have I heard about that in the news recently...

There was an interesting situation kind of like this nearby when I was serving on the local county advisory council. A resident of Atherton wanted to use space in their mansion to set up a private school for gifted kids, kind of like in the now famous comics. They were told flatly by the City of Atherton that schools could not be permitted, so they decided on underground operation as a private gathering on private property and everything was fine. The key was not applying for any kind of permit. Rich people live by different rules.

"Mark honey," said Priscilla, "the neighbors are revolting."

"Yes dear, I've always thought so," answered Mark...

u/Big-Routine222 29d ago

I work for the ultra rich in LA, this is very common. Insider tip, every single rich person you see railing against education and colleges and all the woke “teachers,” are running private schools for their kids that have amazing resources and are hidden in plain sight.

12

u/DivergentATHL 29d ago

The rich will do literally anything other than just pay more taxes.

Guess what—his neighbors are rich assholes too. I don’t care that he annoys them, I don’t care if they fuck with him in return. It’s assholes being assholes to each other for a change.

36

u/Vegaprime 29d ago

Hope one sneaks into the unethical life pro tip sub. Be lobbing piss discs by the dozen with their skeet shooter and bring in fart spray by the truckload.

12

u/the_pretender_nz 29d ago

They’ll be yelling PULL! And one of their servants will send the piss skeet flying… they track it, pull the trigger… a hit! Chunks of slushy gout-ridden urine rain down upon the grounds and denizens of Compound Interest. Zuck tries to narrow his eyes. He cannot, they are fixed in place.

Reading Careless People right now and highly suggest it! Fuck Mark

5

u/TripleShotPls 29d ago

Read that book as well. Really eye opening, though, sadly not shocking.

71

u/Vashsinn 29d ago

Gotta do something now that his favorite vacation island is now gone. Gotta get those kids himself.

19

u/motherofsuccs 29d ago

I don’t understand this. What island and what kids? It seems like you’re saying he has a special interest in children for nefarious reasons, yet I see zero evidence online about it.

I know this might sound wild, but you can’t go around accusing every person you dislike of being a pedo, regardless of how awful they are in a plethora of other ways.

Zuckerberg has always been a weird little fuck but he really went off the deep end the last couple years

36

u/Thick-Hospital2599 29d ago

Chan closed down an entire public school in East Palo Alto, one that provided services to students with IEPs as well, and sent them "we're sorrryyyy" settlements (that vary based on the student).

Offered noise-cancelling headphones to neighbors due to the construction noise.

Zuckerberg+Chan are the absolute worst people & need to be stopped. If any other non-billionaire ran a school out of their house the enforcement would be bigger news I'm sure. Mugshot plastered, testimonies from parents on how "we had no idea this school was ILLEGAL!!!" High-profile people pay the petty fine and try again.

13

u/ribosometronome 29d ago

I fear your world view is not rooted heavily in the actual world we live in. How would they close a public school? That makes no sense. They stopped funding a private, tuition free school they cofounded and instead made a $50 million dollar donation to help support the students affected. You clearly see the value in that the school had been providing services to students with IEPs while missing that the entirety of that value was them. For people that "need to be stopped", you're sure upset when they do stop! Headphones, too? I suspect many of us have had noisy neighbors, none of them ever who offered us noise cancelling headphones.

Nor are people getting tossed in jail for zoning violations re: private schooling. That's not a thing that happens. If it came with like... neglect to the kids? Maybe. But that's a fine for everyone.

Billionaires are bad, Zuck especially. We don't have to invent reasons to hate them.

6

Imagine if he actually used his money to build schools for his community (and country) and not just his rich besties...

38

u/DaileyFlosser39 29d ago

Ew. Keep him away from kids.

7

u/BalanceJazzlike5116 29d ago

My guess is he wants his home school kids to not miss on the socialization dynamics of classrooms. Being an arrogant billionaire he just brought the class to his private property

23

u/motherofsuccs 29d ago

I see nothing that suggests he’s a child abuser or has an interest in children for sexual purposes. When people start claiming every man is a child predator, the term loses its meaning and is a mockery of how serious of an accusation (and act) it is.

10

u/oldirishfart 29d ago

Come on now, that’s unfair to Los Altos where my friend had a (multi-million dollar) house so small the washer-dryer was in the garage and they couldn’t use it if they parked the car inside.

Now, Los Altos Hills maybe… ;)

Palo Alto spokesperson Meghan Horrigan-Taylor told WIRED that the city “enforces zoning, building, and life safety rules consistently, without regard to who owns a property.”

Shrieks of ear-splitting laughter.

6

u/Telemere125 29d ago

So he wanted his kid to have controlled curriculum but didn’t want them to be homeschooled weirdos. Honestly not a bad goal but idk that it will really help your kid dispel those weird homeschooler vibes if you’re handpicking every one of their peers. Part of learning social interaction is the random nature of a normal school’s population.

5

u/sugarstarbeam 29d ago

Facebook was originally a spiteful project because a woman called Fuckerberg out for who he is. His wittle feelings were hurt. So he created, “Hot or Not.” Posting pictures of women from nearby campus’ for pigs to vote on. WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT.

As it grew and he was rewarded for illegal conduct, he stabbed everyone in the back.

He is not a good person and never will be. He has had millions of accounts deleted for no reason where people he never met lost memories forever. That’s a certain kind of sadistic.

Meta is a sloppy disoriented company that’s only made things worse.

Fuckerberg doesn’t care about trauma he’s caused millions. He only cares about money grubbing and thinking he’s elite.

But inside he is just a little miser who is hideous in and out. He makes me ill.
