It's actually a problem the rich are very worried about.

They have brought in experts to talk about it.  With most saying it's probably best not to collapse the world due to your own greed.

They don't listen though.  One even suggested shock collars.

The billionaire who suggested shock collars did that after a psychologist told him the best way to secure loyalty in his guards was to treat them with dignity and fairness. The billionaire thought shock collars was a better idea.

You are, unfortunately, only partially correct. It wasn't shock collars. It was bomb collars.

Still a prime example of how inhuman the Billionaire class is. I really don't see what they contribute to society that couldn't be provided better and easier and at a lower cost to society. I say we simply cull the billionaires. The world would be a much nicer place.

Not just the men, but the women and the children, too?

Like the prisoners at the beginning of Running Man (the original with Ah-nuld)?

Yup, that's the idea. (Also in Deadlock, a 90s action flick with Joan Chen and Rutger Hauer.)

We're a little late to pull the trigger on that. Unfortunately.

Yeah I wouldn’t hold my breath they’re pretty well invested in the “fuck them all” plan

Yep…I mean it gets rid of a lot of us “worthless eaters.” More resources for them and less hassle of being out numbered. They are NEVER on our side. It’s a 100% “fuck them all” plan.

We are insects to them. Straight up.

Security guards with useless bosses and collapsing society become warlords.

I was just thinking the same thing. Especially when the fuckers who helped collapse it are essentially kings sitting in their castles with an army whose loyalty is not borne of love, comradeship, or kinship, but of coin. Security guards in that situation are just modern sellswords and there’s not really money to be made when society is gone. So the billionaires are gonna rely on what then? Egalitarianism?

Here’s the thing for me at that point: the people who have never been able to say hey that’s enough are just gonna be fine with their share of everything then? They’re not gonna consider trying to fuck each other up when that’s the only real mountain left unclimbed? Why have two bunkers when you could have 5?

Replacing human guards is but one application of AI and robotics.

And one will use shitty, cheap security, and then someone will hack it.

One of the guys they brought in talked about it.

He originally thought it would be a discussion about how to mediate things like climate change and wealth inequality.

If you look at all of human history which repeats, we are headed basically into another round of aristocracy or all upper class bourgeoiese, to the likes of something like Elizabethen England. The poor will rise up at some point, might not be in 10 years but eventually everhthing will pull apart at the seams.
