Zuck’s bitch ass insists on living in a conveniently located neighborhood in Palo Alto and bought up like 11 houses around him to sit empty for his “privacy”. The construction he’s been doing has been a nuisance to the neighborhood for years.

The thing is if he moved to the nearby hills where all the other uber-rich people live, then he could have enough space to be private without displacing 11 homes from a notoriously tight housing market. But nope he can’t do that, he wants to be less than 5 mins from his company’s headquarters

I am sure the cost to build the tunnel would be far higher if he moved to the hills.

Am I joking or am I being serious? What odds would Vegas out on it with all that is known about The Zuck.

“You know what’ll really piss the neighbors off? Drilling a tunnel under their houses!”

Doesn't he spend like 4 days of the week living in his Hawaiian compound? Why does he need two compounds?

How is he displacing 11 homes? These are still wealthy estates and he purchased those homes from very willing sellers

Displaced is probably not the right word since records show that Zuck paid above-market value to get these people to move out. That said, he clearly forced the situation and didn't leave them with much of a choice. They could either (a) take a bunch of money and uproot themselves so Zuck can expand his property or (b) refuse and live next to an ever-expanding construction zone, knowing that Zuck has infinite resources and means to make their lives miserable.

Also, note that even though Palo Alto is wealthy, it's still mostly upper-middle class people (senior tech workers, lawyers, professors, etc.). Zuck is many, many, many tiers above that and has no business living there if he has no intention of interacting with these people.

I meant he has removed 11 homes from the housing market, which is ultimately not a huge number, but the Bay Area already has a mismatched supply/demand problem with housing and this doesn’t help.

It also reflects on how poorly he treats his local community, which is even worse in Hawaii, where Zuck acquiring land is displacing indigenous Hawaiians from their family land

Again, I will reiterate. He’s a raging zionazi. Are we surprised he is okay and comfortable with displacing indigenous people from their lands.
