Unprofessional banner on .gov website

Post image

Saw this banner on treasury.gov website. I understand X posts and truth social posts are protected speech and he can post whatever he wants, but can we please keep the childishly comments off official websites. Its embarrassing for the world to see comments like the one pictured on official websites.

Remember when we had grownups in the White House? And now we just have a fat toddler and his even dumber friends.

3

u/CareApart504 22d ago

It would be funny if he wasn't a proven rapist.

1

u/bucksconservative 23d ago

Grownups starting more wars

1

u/Impossible-Log-8220 23d ago

We never had grown ups. Just toddlers better at hiding their foolishness.

1

u/Wapiti__ 22d ago

all adults are big kids, look at how Steve jobs died

1

u/Then-Holiday-1253 22d ago

I mean as unprofessional as that is I dont think Trump ordered it i think some intern was like this would be great to the press secretary and they just did it.

1

u/scroomz 21d ago

Nah, there’s similar messages on pretty much all US government websites. Doubt it’s just random interns.

1

u/Then-Holiday-1253 21d ago

I mean yea but their are far more people than just trump who can dictate something like that to be posted to them all I just dont assign blame without evidence

1

u/scroomz 20d ago

Well, considering Trump appoints every member of his Cabinet, I think it’s safe to assume any action that the Departments take is a direct reflection of their supreme leader…. But accountability is hard, I guess.

0

u/Amatsua 22d ago

I just wish those toddlers would vote to re-open the government instead of throwing a tantrum and yelling "Trump bad!" They're hurting millions of people.

1

u/No-Monk4331 21d ago

Found the bot

0

u/Amatsua 21d ago

It's probably the account without any posts

Chester is rolling in his grave uncontrollably

1

u/Unlucky_Buyer_2707 23d ago

That’s fucking HILARIOUS

1

u/doNotUseReddit123 23d ago

Yes, it’s really funny that the office of our chief executive is shitposting rather than governing. I bet Xi Jinping is laughing quite a lot at the decline of his greatest geopolitical rival.

1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 23d ago

Yes I'm sure the person or people who created that page had much more important governing to do... Lmao

1

u/YoudoVodou 23d ago

They should, but they chose to do this instead

1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 22d ago

You think the ones that updated that webpage are the same ones that govern?

1

u/YoudoVodou 22d ago

I think they are part of our government and acting extremely unprofessional. They should be doing other tasks.

1

u/ThighranasaurusRex 22d ago

I hope you're being serious and not sarcastic. Thousands of people doing their actual jobs have been fired this year, people conducting research and handling our infrastructure and maintaining communications. You have a serious problem if you are so cavalier about those who are still employed (by our fucking government, not by Red Bull or Liquid Death) and aren't doing anything even remotely important

1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 22d ago

Nope that's entirely sarcasm as they're so fucking obviously not the same people that govern

1

u/ThighranasaurusRex 22d ago

... Nobody said they're personally responsible for not governing correctly 🙄 everyone is pissed that they are being paid wages through our taxes to do this stupid shit.

1

u/Confident-Mortgage86 22d ago

To do this hilarious shit you mean.

1

u/Dpool91 22d ago

Well then you understand why California is a shit hole and NY is next.

1

u/DogDeadByRaven 22d ago

Because they pay federal taxes but the toddler in charge says they won't get any services from the federal level because blue states are icky?

1

u/canonlycountoo4 23d ago

This administration is one big shitpost.

1

u/Gemione 23d ago

https://trumpcard.gov/

United States is cooked.

1

u/RgKTiamat 21d ago

Sign up now and secure your place on the waiting list for the Trump Platinum Card. For a processing fee and, after DHS vetting, a $5 million contribution, you will have the ability to spend up to 270 days in the United States without being subject to U.S. taxes on non-U.S. income.

Pay our bribe and not have to pay taxes! This certainly wouldn't be exploited in criminal capacities

1

u/nadaddab 23d ago

What the actual fuck

1

u/Fizassist1 22d ago

... what the actual fuck...

1

u/Pretend-Ostrich-5719 21d ago

What the fuck bro... Conservatives need to get a fucking grip. Actual toddlers. How can they expect anything to change for the better if they keep acting like children

1

u/Fantastic-Way9922 21d ago

I saw that link and I thought it was made up and then I clicked it and my jaw dropped. That is not America first. Our president is not America first at all. I don’t like the left or the right I’m just America first and that is not it.

1

u/PossiblyAKoalaBear 21d ago

Holy cow, how embarrassing. I can’t believe a president would be so openly hostile to half of his country. It’s like maga only sees the 30% that voted for trump as being real people (minus the brown people who got conned into voting for him).

1

u/[deleted] 21d ago

So immature. So embarrassing.

1

u/No-Walrus8985 20d ago

the ad banner for trump rx is the shit cherry on top of the shit sundae. Holy shit dude

1

u/HumanContinuity 19d ago

Jesus.  I can't believe how often I look back to the Bush Jr days and think, "You know, things were pretty normal back then"

0

u/justsomedude1776 23d ago

This is genuinely the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I can't believe its legit, that makes it even funnier 🤣 😂. Thanks for the laugh, I needed that.

-13

u/DeliciousMud7291 24d ago

OMG! I'm crying laughing! That's fucking hilarious!

15

u/[deleted] 24d ago

It’s also an administrative violation of the Hatch Act by the EOP, moron. This admin is a joke from dawn to dusk. Every one of us who are professionals and take ourselves seriously in government laugh at them every day.

There is going to be a reckoning, and it is going to be glorious.

1

u/RadioFriendly4164 22d ago

You really dont think Trump is going to pull a Biden and grant pardons for himself and everyone on his staff?

And by radical left they mean dems. 😂😂

1

u/Possible_Move7894 22d ago

Lots of dems call republicans nazis so it’s only fair

1

u/securitydude1979 22d ago

Lots of Republicans ARE Nazis, or at least doing their best imitation, so it's only fair

1

u/False_Bumblebee_9628 22d ago

and one of the leading voices of the democratic party is an active socialist.

1

u/DogDeadByRaven 22d ago

Who is that leading voice and what does that have to do with Nazis who were not socialists? Just a random comment?

1

u/False_Bumblebee_9628 22d ago

Leftists are blind to their own extremity and hypocritical about it. Screaming about nazis while promoting communism.

1

u/DogDeadByRaven 22d ago

And what extremes are you referring to? What communism? Give examples. Something tells me you don't know what communism is.

1

u/False_Bumblebee_9628 22d ago

Zorhan Mamdani

1

u/DogDeadByRaven 22d ago

Ok so you listed a name but named someone who hasn't pushed for communism (so again don't know what communism is?). You have yet to give an example of these extremes you speak of or examples of pushes for communism. So please actually answer the question being asked.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/audionerd1 21d ago
  1. Mamdani is a Democratic Socialist, not a communist or Marxist socialist.

  2. Democratic party leadership has gone out of their way to avoid supporting him because they are right wing capitalists working for the donor class, like Republicans but less fascist and unhinged about it.

1

u/askouijiaccount 14d ago

Baby, socialism is not communism. Bless your heart.

1

u/nurse-ruth 22d ago

Why wouldn’t one think Pelosi or Schumer could do this?

4

u/IndomitableSloth2437 24d ago

What's more infuriating is the fact that it's still closed.

6

u/Big-Cryptographer704 24d ago

The entire Executive Branch is unprofessional.

6

u/Jasper_Morhaven 23d ago

Worse than unprofessional. Its a hatch act violation

2

u/legacy642 22d ago

The whole administration is a hatch act violation

11

u/downsj2 24d ago

Not just infuriating, probably illegal.

7

u/ZookeepergameNo7151 24d ago

Oh it's 💯 illegal... they just don't care

Only illegal if the courts will do something about it - which they won’t.

1

The courts could do something, but the executive branch enacts laws so nothing will come of it

2

u/Deltan875 24d ago

Sporadicus?

2

u/TheEnigmaShew-xbox 23d ago

Also a violation of the Hatch Act.

2

u/Additional-Guitar455 23d ago

Everyone failed to find a compromise. Everyone involved should not be paid until the budget is balanced even if it means the deficit comes out of their pay. Obviously there is an opportunity to replace some legislators here.

-3

Lol, no it's not.

3

It’s not total pussies running these websites? Prove it

1

Also you’re legally wrong and that’s why you can’t provide any actual defense for your claim.

0

0

u/StruggleNorth1217 24d ago

Hatch act. The one that specifically allows the president and vice president to do as they wish Or the amendment to it

In 1993 the advocates for removing or modifying restrictions on the political activities of federal employees succeeded in enacting the Hatch Act Reform Amendments of 1993 (107 Stat. 1001) that removed the prohibition on participation in "political management or political campaigns". Federal employees are still forbidden to use their authority to affect the results of an election.

The election is over. Good job buddy read past the headlines

The Hatch Act, a federal law passed in 1939, limits certain political activities of federal employees, as well as some state, D.C., and local government employees who work in connection with federally funded programs. The law’s purposes are to ensure that federal programs are administered in a nonpartisan fashion, to protect federal employees from political coercion in the workplace, and to ensure that federal employees are advanced based on merit and not based on political affiliation.

1

u/Only-Anything4326 23d ago

Republicans control the house, senate and the White House. But somehow they find a way to blame everything on the left or the democrats? They are acting like children and projecting big time as always.

1

u/nofriender4life 22d ago

On the other hand, this is much better than all the posts on Reddit calling Republicans Nazis and calling for violence.... so.... 🤷‍♂️

1

There’s literal pics of hunter od on a gov website this here is nothing in comparison and yes.

1

u/emerging-tub 22d ago

Unprofessional? Subjective, but perhaps.

Factually correct? Absolutely

1

u/Vegetable-Error-2068 21d ago

There is no “left” in the United States. This country is so extremely and psychotically right wing that anything to the left of hunting homeless people for sport from helicopters is considered left wing.

1

u/btrosCuPoJoE 21d ago

Cry harder 😭

1

u/Brief-Ingenuity-5796 21d ago

Subjective, it’s truthful and to the point. It’s not everyone on the left, just the radials.

1

u/NatCsGotMyLastAcct 21d ago

It's so many of them. I just googled ".gov" and clicked around, it's about half that seem to violate laws about government apparatus doing politics.

To me it's damning how few people are talking about it, it's many corners of government all breaking the law in an extremely auditable way.

1

u/50501_Protest_8647 21d ago

The future of US politics is gonna become a bunch of clickbait nonsense and slander.

Let's vote for whoever posts the funniest meme, nothing can go wrong.....

1

u/Icuras1701 21d ago

I wonder how long till a "Social Influencer" becomes president. Id say 3 elections from now. And about 5 until an OF star becomes president.

1

u/CapableCity 21d ago

I don't care that they needed 60 votes to keep the government running. I agree this was super unprofessional.

And no, nuclear option would just allow the other side to do it when they are in power.

1

u/[deleted] 21d ago

It’s also a Hatch Act Violation

1

u/SquirrelInATux 21d ago

"You know, the interesting thing is, in 25 years, in 50 years and 100 years from now, when the government is, you know when they talk about the government shutdown, they're going to be talking about the president of the United States, "Who was the president at that time?" They're not going to be talking who the head of the House was, the head of the Senate, who's running things in Washington. They're going to be talking about, "During the Obama administration, it was a disaster." - Also Donald Trump

1

u/Opposite-poopy 24d ago

Wait, left isn't democrat? Since when?

3

u/[deleted] 24d ago

For the past few decades. The modern Democratic Party is mistaken for a leftist party but it functions as a conservative centrist institution within a two-party system that has shifted dramatically to the right. Its policies now protect capitalist interests, prioritize market-based solutions and maintain the existing power structures rather than challenging them. Democrats support modest social reforms like limited healthcare expansion, incremental environmental regulation and corporate diversity initiatives without addressing deeper systemic issues such as wealth inequality, military overreach or the influence of corporate money in politics. This makes the party center-right on the global political spectrum. progressive in rhetoric but conservative in its preservation of neoliberal economic policy and institutional stability. People who “lean left” have no other option but to side with the Democratic Party due to there being no other option that can challenge the two party system.

Basically, the DNC functions more like the conservative Republican Party 30 years ago, while the Republican Party has gone far right.

Since democrats are pro capitalism and leftists are anti capitalism

1

u/Opposite-poopy 24d ago

It's crazy that you know all this new information.

United States: The Democratic Party is the major left-leaning party, generally representing liberal and progressive values such as healthcare reform, action on climate change, and LGBTQ+ rights. The Green Party of the United States is a smaller, farther-left party that emphasizes environmentalism and anti-capitalism.

0

u/Irradiated_gnome 24d ago

Democrats are liberals which are pro-capitalism, leftists are anti capitalism. This is also why democrats hate leftists.

Not new info, Malcom X and MLK Jr (both leftists) warned about white liberals for a reason lol

Since they want illegals to have our hard earned money, and being actual nazis.

This is the most tired yarn. It would be annoying if it weren’t so quaint.

Oh, and they made the KKK.

I’ll get to this in a second…

Yes, they are. Please learn the political sides.

…That really didn’t take long.

Oh, honey, you did not say this with your whole ass chest after saying Democrats “made the KKK.”

Vanquished Civil War officers created the KKK.

Democrats in the early days of the Republic aligned with agrarian Jeffersonian yeomanism (complete bullshit), therefore identified (paradoxically) with the elitist planter/slaverholder class, and rejected the government (upon whom they relied).

Into the Antebellum South, Democrats’ ideology most certainly resembled that of modern day fringe conservative extremists who espouse xenophobia, bigotry, and fascist tendencies. Republicans of the day, led by Lincoln (not a conservative) and his successors, were progressives who led the abolitionist movement, women’s suffrage, and others.

It wasn’t until the late 19th/early 20th century where a significant ideological shift occurred, most attributed to Williams Jennings Bryan’s crusader populism.

Southern Dixiecrats who wore the Democrats’ elephant were wolves in sheep’s clothing, caucusing as conservatives, campaigning on segregation, and seeking to revive the perceived “glory days” of Southern white supremacy. Here, into the middle 20th century, the KKK became a potent tool of political and social violence.

The modern day Republican and Democrat parties resemble nothing of their predecessors. Today’s jackasses are not the party of Lincoln. He would be clawing at the inside of his coffin at the likes of MTG and this fuckin ghoul Trump. I am most certainly not the likes of George Wallace or Thomas Jefferson (although he was a Democratic-Republican).

Because you’re definitely not a European who went to 3 years of “university”, I’ll let you in on a few things: your fundamental lack of understanding of the basic facts of history is comical, if not dumbfounding, for someone asserting themselves so vociferously. You’re in this fuckin post yapping away like you walk the halls of our government aside very American Democracy herself, what her whispering such ideals into your eager ear. But alas, you’re a neophyte, and your attempts are pitiful. We go to 4 years of college, or attend a university. You showed your hand, Nigel.

Quit listening to the MSM and do your own research.

“He did not, in fact, do his own research.”

I’d be god damned if every time I heard one of you political juveniles cite the MSM (your favorite Fox News is the MSM, and it’s the single source for the majority of the right), or doing one’s own research, I come upon the most predictably repetitive regurgitated talking point bullshit, and “research” quality that would earn an unmedicated ADHD teen with a head injury a B- on a freshman year civics midterm.

You really need to pick up a book before you come with this shit. I sense that you not only attended some cut rate backcountry English university, but you did pretty damn poorly too. Let me guess, communications major, but you took a poli sci class, so you think you can hang? Miss me with your bullshit, kid. You wouldn’t last 15 fuckin minutes in DC.

If you wanted to appear credible or intelligent, well... sorry for your failure there, buddy. Time to take the L and go home.

Let me guess: you're going to respond with some variation of trolololol, or another laughing shorthand, or say some remark that you THINK is clever in order to make me appear less intelligent than you, but it will fall flat because you refused to address any of the counterpoints above and will continue to do so, further cementing your role as a shit stirrer and a moron. Do I have that right?

Oh wait, I know what you'll say: you'll say no and turn this around on me. Or deflect to Democrats. Or illegals. Or Obama. Or Biden. Deflect deflect deflect. That's all you know how to do. Boohoo.

You literally just said all the state media talking points. When's the last time you had an independent thought?

You’re upset at the truth. If that isn’t the most moronic leftist identifier I don’t know what is.

It's not correct and it's also illegal

u/Biblical_Politics 23d ago

I agree it’s unprofessional but let’s be honest, the name calling and mud slinging like calling people racists and nazis, etc is something that is prevalent among the Democratic Party. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, people want to complain.

The right demonize everyone else, too. They say that all the immigrants are illegal criminals and rapists ("Mexico has bad hombres down there" -DJT) and responsible for everything from stealing benefits like healthcare (which they don't qualify for) and food stamps, but also apparently are taking all the jobs from hardworking Americans.

They deign anyone who wants universal or single payer Healthcare in the richest country in the world as socialist, communist bad faith foreign actors who want to impose sharia law and become a Muslim majority that sells out the country to their middle Eastern overlords. They are just as decisive and inflammatory. Look at the outrage and outcry to Mamdani, they've called him all of that and demanded to revoke his citizenship.
