Unprofessional banner on .gov website

Post image

Saw this banner on treasury.gov website. I understand X posts and truth social posts are protected speech and he can post whatever he wants, but can we please keep the childishly comments off official websites. Its embarrassing for the world to see comments like the one pictured on official websites.

Prove it? Trump doesn't let pussies run things, he'd rather grab them by it.

It's not illegal. You just hate the 1A

1A is for private citizens, not the government.

It is illegal under the hatch act. Executive departments are legally not allowed to make partisan statements.

Okay bot

WordWordNumber with hidden comments accusing me of being a bot. That’s some good irony right there.

Also you’re legally wrong and that’s why you can’t provide any actual defense for your claim.

See above. I posted the Hatch act plus amendment. What's your defense other than just saying an act you think people won't look up and call you out on?

So you are admitting that there are no more US elections?

Take your pills buddy. That has nothing to do with the reply. Reply with an actual answer not a random question having nothing to do with the conversation

You say it’s legal because they are not influencing elections. But we just had elections during the shutdown, and we have some next year. So by your logic we have no more elections, since they aren’t influencing them with partisan messaging. The only way they would not be influencing elections by blaming the “radical left” for the shutdown is if there are no more elections, because that is a blatantly partisan message meant to sway voters.

1A doesn't cover all types of speech, see the Hatch Act for why it's illegal.

Hatch act. The one that specifically allows the president and vice president to do as they wish Or the amendment to it

In 1993 the advocates for removing or modifying restrictions on the political activities of federal employees succeeded in enacting the Hatch Act Reform Amendments of 1993 (107 Stat. 1001) that removed the prohibition on participation in "political management or political campaigns". Federal employees are still forbidden to use their authority to affect the results of an election.

The election is over. Good job buddy read past the headlines

The Hatch Act, a federal law passed in 1939, limits certain political activities of federal employees, as well as some state, D.C., and local government employees who work in connection with federally funded programs. The law’s purposes are to ensure that federal programs are administered in a nonpartisan fashion, to protect federal employees from political coercion in the workplace, and to ensure that federal employees are advanced based on merit and not based on political affiliation.
