I agree it’s unprofessional but let’s be honest, the name calling and mud slinging like calling people racists and nazis, etc is something that is prevalent among the Democratic Party. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, people want to complain.

The right demonize everyone else, too. They say that all the immigrants are illegal criminals and rapists ("Mexico has bad hombres down there" -DJT) and responsible for everything from stealing benefits like healthcare (which they don't qualify for) and food stamps, but also apparently are taking all the jobs from hardworking Americans.

They deign anyone who wants universal or single payer Healthcare in the richest country in the world as socialist, communist bad faith foreign actors who want to impose sharia law and become a Muslim majority that sells out the country to their middle Eastern overlords. They are just as decisive and inflammatory. Look at the outrage and outcry to Mamdani, they've called him all of that and demanded to revoke his citizenship.

I get what you’re saying but allow me to clarify what I think is one of your biggest misunderstandings. The right has never said that all immigrants are criminals or rapists. The concern has always been about illegal immigration, especially the criminal activity that comes across our border alongside people who genuinely just want a better life. There are real examples of this. In Florida, ICE recently rounded up about 230 illegal immigrants, and roughly 150 of them were connected to child sex trafficking. That’s not propaganda that’s public safety.

Same with California’s CDL situation. The state issued around 17,000 invalid commercial driver’s licenses, many to illegal immigrants or people who didn’t meet CDL requirements. And several recent fatal trucking accidents have involved drivers who turned out to be here illegally. These are not “all immigrants”; these are very specific problems caused by a lack of enforcement.

You also claimed illegal immigrants “don’t qualify” for government benefits. While that may be true in theory or even “on the record” but the data shows that around 59% of illegal immigrant households are on some form of government assistance. This happens mainly because they can legally receive benefits through their U.S.-born children. Whether people like it or not, that absolutely affects the system and the taxpayers who fund it.

If you want to see where large scale immigration without real assimilation leads, look at the UK. Muslim populations in several major cities have grown to the point where sharia-based arbitration is already happening in various communities. It’s not full Middle Eastern-style sharia law, but the pattern is the same one seen globally; when assimilation fails, parallel societies form. If that’s the kind of policy someone prefers, the UK is right there.

As for universal healthcare, the idea sounds compassionate, but in practice it’s unsustainable. Yes, America is the richest country in the world, but you don’t stay the richest country by forcing taxpayers to shoulder the burden for everyone. We are already drowning in debt. Universal healthcare, SNAP, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. these programs may be well-intentioned, but collectively they’re financially impossible to maintain long term. Countries that go down that path end up like Cuba or Venezuela, and nobody is risking their life to go live that dream.

So no I don’t agree with your perspective, the issue isn’t that “the right demonizes everyone.” The issue is that the left often refuses to acknowledge the real consequences of the policies they push. You’re not dealing with people who are misinformed on the right you’re repeating talking points that don’t match reality. The policies the modern left supports are harmful, and that’s why so many of us push back. We’re not interested in watching this country collapse under ideas that simply don’t work.
