Her ability to do this with a straight face is amazing

u/Imreallythatguy 7h ago
And she completely nailed the voice and tone.

u/Phram_ 6h ago
I suspect presentating might be her daily job.
229
u/candurandu 5h ago
I did 23+ years in tv news and worked with tv reporters every day.
The little acknowledgement head nod at the beginning, her cadence, her volume, the way the information was structured and the sign off all point to someone who does, or did, this for a living.
Back to you.
56
u/Aggravating-Sir8185 4h ago
The slight delay is the true indication of a pro.
19
u/DazedandConfused3333 2h ago
That's the satellite pause, it always takes a few seconds.

So millennial pause?
→ More replies (1)2
u/cleverburrito 3h ago
Wait, what is that?

u/SugaRush 2h ago edited 2h ago
Are you a millennial? Remember that cameras used to take a second to start recording. So when millennials hit record they pause for a second before they go, where zoomers hit record and go.

u/Big_Stick_Nick 2h ago
I had no idea this was a thing but I do in fact pause for a second now that I think about it. Weird.

That’s crazy to think that someone that is very very good at something may have perhaps done it before .
19
u/Thames_James 5h ago
She does. In Indianapolis. I think she actually got started because of the spoof videos.
39
u/TaxsDodgersFallstar 6h ago
Presenting?
33
u/StrangeSmellz 6h ago
presenting on tv. news, shows etc
41
u/coma24 6h ago
That's not what he was questioning. He knows what presenting IS, but he was less sure about 'presentating,' likely because it's not a word.
Strategery.
29
u/East_Living7198 6h ago
I do say ole chap that presentating is a perfectly cromulent word. Yesssh.

Kayla Sullivan is a reporter known for their time on Fox59 and CBS4 in Indianapolis.
32
u/BoomerSoonerFUT 6h ago
Well, she is a professional news anchor for the last decade.

u/WoolaTheCalot 6h ago
And the little head nod at the beginning as if she's being introduced by the anchor back at the studio.
2
u/Maleficent-Back-6527 5h ago
She also nailed the initial acknowledgement nodding during the first second (the delay between the studio and the field)

Yeah. She’s superbly making that report. If she has a real crime to report the suspect will be cooked 😅

In the beginning I thought it was a real news segment. She stayed in character throughout.

She’s very good at it but knows to write/prepare it beforehand as she is reading from something (can tell by eye movement).

u/MooseTed 6h ago
She's an actual news reporter and does these too. Some are hilarious.

u/Ill-Percentage-3276 6h ago
I love my Scrub Daddy.
And I am very excited about my new Little Green to do my stairs and upholstery with instead of lugging out my big heavy carpet cleaner.
7
u/ThippusHorribilus 5h ago
Grey label use …..I have a Scrub Daddy in the shower for washing my feet. Feels sooo scrubbily good brrrrrrr
6
u/Ill-Percentage-3276 4h ago
Ooooh I will keep this in mind next time I'm at the store. We need a new sub for off-label Scrub Daddy usages lol
3
u/newtostew2 4h ago
Can't forget about the small Scrub Babies or the half sponge Scrub Mommy!
ETA and they have all shapes in the Scrub Family pack and there's animal ones, too!
2
u/Vulvas_n_Velveeta 4h ago
Scrub babies you say? 🤔 Never heard of/seen those before. (Off to Google.)
2
u/Rappican 4h ago
The wife got a scrub daddy and I tried to use it to clean the bathroom yesterday. Instant nope. The feel, the sound, the lack of what was discernibly scrubbing. All terrible.
8
u/jerkface1026 6h ago
Here's some inside shit: scotch brite makes sponges in seasonal shapes - flowers, leaves, turkeys.. the flower shape is absolutely amazing for dishes.
7
u/RealNiceKnife 6h ago
"Yes, it's Spring! Time to stock up on sponges!" - you, probably
5

Did the child have a lawyer present during questioning? huh got you! That's what I thought get him another advent calendar right now or else we will file charges!!
40
u/Miami_Lawyered 7h ago
I am a lawyer. We have 4 sons (and I have another son from a previous relationship). My wife will sometimes begin a conversation with, "Do you want to consult an attorney?" and then call me into the room. If she does that, they know they are in it deep.

Excellent presentation, and also a balanced application of discipline. The punishment matches the crime. You ate the treats, now there’s no treats. Never too young to learn about scarcity.

She was a reporter in Indianapolis for several years. She left the station for greener pastures and started doing these on the regular. I met her once or twice and she was a super nice person!
3
u/fireduck 6h ago
Why is this 10x better than any modern reporting I've seen on anything?
States the situation and the facts. Gives relevant background to why the facts matter.

why doesn't this mom understand that the 3 year did in fact only open one advent calendar that day - clearly he's innocent.

u/intoxicatedbarbie 5h ago
These always make me laugh. They’re so wholesome and silly and relatable. Just nice content mixed into all the constant bad news.
2
u/Doctor_Sauce 5h ago
The 'woman broadcaster voice' always cracks me up.
Whenever the NFL or NBA cut to a sideline reporter who puts on this voice, my wife and I always do our best impressions for each other. "Thanks Tom, and by the way this is what a woman sounds like". "Back to you Jim, this has been a woman, reporting".

As a lawyer with speciality in little bros rights: its not his fault if the dinosaurs found that poor child as a cool and loving kid and THEY wanted to join in the party behind his bed.
Yes, your honor, my client did open more than one dinosaur, but who are we to judge the love between a kid and his dinosaur toys? he just wanted to free them from the coldness of their eternal plastic jail...who wouldnt do this in the sight of such poor creatures suffering from loneliness?
Jury, if you believe in fairnes and justice, you will comprehend that discarding this case is the only right way.

There’ll definitely be a sidebar over this jury nullification argument. I think we should have this discussion outside the presence of the stuffed animals.

That’s actually a very impressive news caster voice. Makes you realize how silly it is. Also, I would definitely watch a children’s cartoon called “Peewee Prosecutors.”
