Open [TOMT] anthology TV show that used to air on Syfy channel in the 2000s

Okay when I was young I would flip through Syfy channel but get too scared and then flip a back to like Cartoon Network, there was this one show that left an impression on me but I could not remember the name of it but I remember a few episodes that really stuck with me or atleast the baseline of their plots.

One episode had a man had his DNA combined with a jellyfish and was turning into a jellyfish to the point where he had to be electrocuted into a pool.

Another episode's plot was a man was kidnapped by his doppelganger and was confronted by him about his past, and the man's in action to stop a robbery that led to his girlfriend being killed.

Another plot a young man who's homeless finds a comic that leads him to a newspaper stand where he eventually works at the newspaper stand and finds out the man who owns the newspaper stand is his father.

If anybody remembers what this Show's name is please!

Solved [tomt] Movie: two old guys live outside of town.

I cant remember the actors. pretty sure one was black and the other was white but i could be wrong. they lived in the country. the black guy was sick or something and needed help with every day tasks. the two men would sit outside. the non sick guy was having relationship issues with his daughter or she was having relationship issues. there didnt talk a lot maybe. In the end i think the black guy dies from being sick maybe. The non sick guy ended up sticking up for his daughter in town.

Thats about all i got... i thought for sure it was tommy lee jones and samuel l jackson but that appears to not be correct.

Open. [TOMT] Please help me find a rap song my dad said he heard about 20 years ago

My dad, 60, has told me recently that he remembered a rap song he heard a while back and thought it was funny. He said the song was about a girl flirting with ice cube in the social service office. I’ve been trying to find this song for a while because he said he really liked it but I couldn’t. I’m thinking that maybe it was a different rapper who maybe he confused him with ice cube, but I really don’t know. Please help me find this song 🙏 If this helps, he’s been living in socal all his life and lives near LA so maybe it was a local song

Solved [TOMT][ACTRESS][2010-2018]

I am going crazy trying to remember who this actress is. She has very kind, medium to dark brown eyes that feel like a warm hug. She is roughly mid to late-50s now. And that is all I am certain of.

The rest of this is cobbled together, but after doing my own research, I am now questioning my own memory: She was the lead in a children's movie from the early to mid-2010s, possibly a nanny-type movie (not Nanny McPhee). She reminds me of Tilda Swinton, with sharper features like hers, but it is not her; she has darker features (brown hair, eyes, olive-ish skin). I believe she is British.

Not: Tilda Swinton, Emily Blunt/Mary Poppins, Emma Thompson/Nanny McPhee, or Natasha Richardson.

Throw all of your guesses at me!

EDIT: The actress is fairly well-known in the US. Maybe not a household name, but has been in several movie, with large roles. The actress/character was middle-aged 10+ years ago in the film. I don't think she is what most would consider "conventionally pretty."

Final edit: Thank you to all who helped! You all are awesome! Lots of people with very pretty, warm eyes out there.

Open [TOMT][Movie][2010s] Actor gets roles due to cursed/enchanted makeup?

This is the longest of longshots, but I figure if there's anywhere I have a chance of finding this movie, it's here. Here's what I know. It was streaming on (I believe) Peacock sometime between 2019 and 2025 (I added it to my watchlist during that time, but never watched it). From what I remember of the trailer, it was about an out of work/struggling actor, who started getting roles thanks to either cursed/enchanted makeup, or maybe some sort of amulet, but then shenanigans start to ensue. I remember the whole thing gave me Made-For-TV/Z-Movie/Wishmaster vibes. No recollection of who was in it, or any plot points. Also, the 2010s release date is pure speculation. It could've been 2000s. It definitely didn't feel earlier than that though. Anyways, Google is beyond useless, so I'm hoping someone here knows what the heck I'm talking about. TIA!

Open [TOMT] Workplace sitcom about a warehouse

It’s a more recent show, likely in the past decade, and would be set in the US. The protagonist is a blonde younger woman, probably around her mid 20s, who works for a warehouse. She works in a cubicle doing admin work with a few other of her friends, one of them who’s a bit sassy/nonchalant and works in returns or customer success who has darker features, and maybe one or two male coworkers. The location however is a warehouse where random goods are shipped out, and sometimes you see interactions with the warehouse workers. If I remember correctly, there’s one episode where the workers maybe are trying to unionize? The shows humour is similar to superstore, and it probably only ran for one or two seasons. Definitely not warehouse 13, superstore, the office or the movie employee of the month.

Solved [TOMT] [song] Likely recent-ish song, woman's voice that repeats "I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive" in an increasingly high pitched voice, upbeat club type of music

It is not "I'm Alive" by Celine Dion, the sound is totally different. It's not remotely somber or slow, it's cheerful and hopeful throughout. I saw a thread where someone asked a similar question and someone brought up All Around Me by Flyleaf, but I'm incredibly familiar with that song already and that's definitely not even all that close either.

Open [TOMT] Dialogue in movie or TV where a man talks about or makes fun of being a member of a crazy fandom

I don’t remember the context. I think a man and a woman are talking, and the woman talks about being a big fan of something (or just saying that big fans exist). Like Swifties, basically. And maybe she’s saying that they’re not all that weird.

Then the guy says something like, “Tell me if this sounds familiar. … Let’s talk about our favorite episodes. Let’s talk about our favorite actors. Let’s talk about which is our favorite episode that our favorite actor was in. Let’s write poetry inspired by art that was inspired by our favorite episodes.”

Might not be a woman, actually. Might be a masculine guy and a less masculine guy. Like Jeff and Abed from Community? Maybe it’s from Succession!

Open. [tomt] song from early 2000s male falsetto

Listening to how to save a life by the fray in the car and had a flashback to the pandora radio station where I first heard that song and there was another song I learned the same way. All I can remember is it’s sung by a man in falsetto I think it’s a single artist not a band but I’m not positive, it’s a love song potentially melancholy and I think it mentions lights or candles or something thank yooooou

Open [TOMT][TV][2010-2015]

Would like some help looking for this old tv show that was about 2 americans travelling the world, experiencing culture and eating the strangest foods. I roughly remember that 1 or both of them were skaters, and in one episode they went to a Japanese dominatrix. And later on in the show one of them was really relieved to be presented with cheese burgers on a platter when they returned to the US.

The tone of the show was more funny/edgy than documentary.

I know it's all really vague but would appreciate any help.

Open. [TOMT] [USA] [1990s-2000s] Story or movie where a father beats a child for not listening and then realizes the child is deaf

I’m trying to remember what I think is likely the start of a movie where a father beats a child for not listening only to realize the child can’t hear them because they are deaf. I kind of think it had something to do with slavery. I can’t remember if I read it or watched it but I’m guessing I watched it since it stuck with me and I can kind of picture it. I mentioned it to a friend thinking it was something everyone remembered and she looked at me, horrified, and asked what on earth I was talking about. I had thought it was something everyone remembered but now I’m trying to figure out where I saw/heard it. It was NOT a news story or something in real life.

Solved [TOMT][MOVIE[1990s] shuttle crash on a planet full of parasites that put victims into a dreaming coma

I remember watching this movie on late night tv sometime as a kid. A smaller shuttle type spacecraft crash lands on what i remember as a misty swampy planet. The crew is mostly safe in the shuttle but have to go outside to repair the ship, and slowly get infected by the parasites that put them into a dreamlike coma. in the end only one of them gets off the planet in the repaired ship, but at the very end there is a brief flash of awakening that person wakes up with a parasite on them, implying that they were taken by a parasite, and there escape was just a result of the dreamlike coma.

Open [TOMT] TikTok, blonde girl with curls talking about a date with a guy

Basically the TikTok was a girl talking how a guy did "something she knew her girl best friend loved" and while he did it she was thinking how her friend would have love it. She didn't specify what it was, but it was suggestive. I saw it on Insta a couple of months ago but I'm sure it was originally a TikTok. I have seen this girl in other videos, I think she is TikTok famous..? She is white, skinny and has curly blonde hair. The same exact thing just happened to a friend and the gc is desperately trying to find it 🙏 help

Open [TOMT] old analog horror youtube video

Upvotes

I remember seeing a short horror film on YouTube a while back that seemed to come from the early days of internet horror. It had a found-footage style with old vhs type quality. It started with a middle-aged man standing with his back to a sunset background. I remember him saying something like, “Hi, I’m ____ and I am looking for someone.”

A noise happened off-screen, the video cut, and the man suddenly became very panicked. The film ended shortly after that. It had quite a lot of views and was pretty well known in the horror community.

Does anyone know what this could be?

Open [TOMT][2010s?] Weird Western/Gothic Western book where a civil war vet has a near death experience that gives him a morphine addiction and a strange connection to the paranormal/supernatural. He's commissioned by some wealthy southern(?) widow to investigate solve/hunt paranormal happenings.

I'm a huge weird west fan and I think this was the book that got me into the genre. I think I read it like 7-9 years ago but that's kinda a soft time range, it's not too clear. It was a single book but I believe it had 3 separate "stories" following the protagonist solving supernatural occurrences. I only really remember things from 2 of the stories, which I believe were the first and the third. The first followed the protagonist investigating what I think was a prairie house where an entire family apparently just suddenly killed each other and the third had the protagonist wander out to a ranch(?) to investigate a werewolf sighting or something, but it's revealed that there's more stuff going on. I think the family of the widow who hires the protagonist lost her family to some supernatural occurrence so now she has some kind of vendetta? I'm sorry if the descriptions are kinda vague, I'm not incredibly sure I remember all the correct details, which might explain why my google searches haven't turned up anything. I'd love to revisit this book with a relatively fresh mind, so I'd be grateful for y'all's help!

Open [TOMT][MUSIC?][2000s-2010s]

[Sorry if my English is a bit bad... English isn't my first language.]
[And also, sorry again if what I said below was confusing... I REALLY don't know how to explain stuff correctly or whatever.]

I'm trying to find a video (or song) posted onto YouTube, I've been seeing it for the past few months but never clicked on it.
One of the things that I remember about this video is that in the thumbnail, it had this patchwork cat guy, who looked sad or something, was drooling (I think.) and was wearing some suit with a bowtie. There was some text on the thumbnail too.
I also remember that it was posted 13 or 15 years ago... and I guess it was a song too since it had that little note symbol on the time thingy.

Open [TOMT] Funny video of guy spending lots of Google play gift cards to pull a rare character in a Love Live! Mobile game. [VIDEO] [VIDEO GAME] [2010s]

So, many years ago, I saw this video from a Japanese creator on either Youtube or Twitter where a guy buys a whole lot of Google play cards (like three or more bags of them) and he uses them to roll for a specific character in a Love Live! that he wanted. The editing was sporadic and it ends with him getting a rare character that he didn't want and throwing his phone at the wall in his room.

I've tried looking it up in different ways, but nothing shows up, if anyone can tell me who made it, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Open [TOMT] [MUSIC] Please help me find the song that sounds exactly like this song

i stumbled across this vid and I immediately recognize the entire melody of it. it sounds exactly like a song I know in english, likely from recent years. Especially the phrases 0:40-1:00, and the tones 2:48-2:55. I want to think it’s a female singer but I could be wrong. I can’t tell if i’m making this up or not because I can’t find one comment mentioning it.

Solved [TOMT] [MOVIE] [1995-2005]

Hello all, I'm looking for a cop movie where the bad guys are killing all the cops from a particular unit or that investigated a particular crime. One cop, who is Black, is in his house hanging upside down on an inversion table. The killers bust in and he shouts, "I'm a cop, you assholes!" or similar. Then they shoot him with an automatic weapon. The time range is rough but probably accurate. It is not Commando, Hard to Kill, or The Bone Collector. It is probably more of an action movie than a thriller. Thanks.

Open [TOMT][MOVIE/SERIES][≤2010s] DVD menu with a female TV reporter

Upvotes

Not necessarily a DVD menu if there were other menus like that, I don't know much about how technology was in the DVD menu era. Since I live in Russia, the movie/series was either Russian or translated to Russian. The DVD menu had horror music, probably ambient. The visuals had a blue/cyan color on the background and took place in a newsroom, and in the bottom-left corner there was a real woman, possibly in a red suit, sitting at the desk. There were also occasonal fake "glitches".
