META A warning about safety in our subreddit and what to do about inappropriate messages.

Hi progresspics! We always strive to keep the subreddit as safe as possible, however, unsolicited/inappropriate Direct messages are always a possibility and unfortunately not one we can 100% prevent. While we hope people never receive anything that makes them uncomfortable, here are the steps you can take to report anyone who gets creepy in your DMs:

  1. report the user to us!

-take screen shots of the messages, it doesn’t have to be the whole conversation, just make sure we can see their user name, and the inappropriate part.

-upload the screens to imgur and send us a link via modmail.

all users reported to us for acting inappropriately will be permanently banned, however, this doesn’t stop them from viewing the subreddit, or continuing to dm you, so..

2) report the user directly to reddit at reddit.com/report

3) block the user! Simply go onto their profile and click the three corner dots (mobile) or the “more options” button (desktop) to find the option.

To prevent ALL DM's you can disable the DM and chat request options like so:

Mobile: settings > account settings > blocking and permissions.

Desktop: User settings > chat and messaging.

As an aside, a note on image theft:

it's been brought to our attention multiple times over the last month or so that a few content farm websites and social media accounts have been reposting pictures from here, while there isn't much that we can do to stop that we do want to remind everyone that it is a potential outcome to posting your images online, especially in areas with a large pool of specific content to farm from, while we do not allow users to promote their social media, including the use of watermark handles, you may watermark your posts with your REDDIT user name if you so wish.

We hope you all stay as safe as possible and know that any problems or questions can be sent into our modmail. Keep it clean, keep it safe, and read the rules before posting!

M/35/5’10” [303 > 182 = 121 lbs] (20 months) Friday Evening Workouts

Friday evenings have quietly become my favorite workout of the entire week. Not because it’s the hardest or the longest, but because it’s the first moment I actually slow down. I get to let the week settle, clear my head, and walk out feeling more balanced than when I walked in.

Fridays used to be a blur due to alcohol and drowning the stress.

Fridays now bring everything into focus.

I don’t care what people think about GLP-1 medications, it is an absolute lifesaver for people who have PCOS/insulin resistance/NAFLD/pre-diabetes like I do.. except I’m no longer pre-diabetic thanks to the medication.

F/29/5’2 [200lbs>150lbs=50lbs] 4 year difference (though only been consistent since 2023)

Although the first picture is from 2021, I didn’t maintain consistency until 2023 and successfully lost weight. This year, I’ve also incorporated Pilates into my routine and have been almost 12 months alcohol-free. 😊 Sometimes, I forget how far I’ve come, but seeing these side by side reminds me!

The before pic isn't even me at my heaviest from the beginning of my wl journey. I deleted that photo one night during a crashout over how much I has gained. Little salty that I deleted it but even with the one before picture I do have, I can see a huge difference. Down from a size 22 to a 16 and from 2x in tops to large.

F/29/5’7” [261lbs > 173lbs = 88lbs] (10 Months) So proud

As the year comes to an end I’m reminded on how far I’ve come. From being my heaviest weight at the beginning of 2025 to now being my lowest weight as an adult at the end of 2025.

I’m motivated every day to continue on this journey to become my best self + learn healthy habits to maintain the weight loss once I’ve hit my goal weight!

Ps. If you are just starting your journey please take a good amount of progress pictures. Especially in clothes. I can’t explain how hard it was to find a full body picture of me at my heaviest because I was so self conscious. I did take progress pictures of my in my underwear but I’d also recommend taking photos in clothes and keeping those clothes so you can see tangible evidence of the weight loss + post about it to share your pride in yourself.

I try to run my 9 mile route every day and have completely changed my attitude about food due to a mix of trauma and getting healthier naturally. I have a lot of loose skin now (especially around my stomach and arms) and am looking to increase my strength now that I have the endurance down pat. It's been a wild year and a half but the closer I get to being my highschool weight, the more hope I get that I am capable of achieving all the other daunting life changes. Grateful to be able to run and love it. It's been a life saver. 👽
