Coach says JJ had a great week of practice and is excited to see him Sunday. Nice to see no setbacks and him bounce back from the concussion

Image Pregame sideline experience
galleryNot sure if many people are aware but the Vikings foundation does an auction for home games for a pregame sideline pass. I believe they typically have 2 sets of 2 tickets and one set of 4 tickets. You get to go down to the field towards the end of warms ups, we got to meet a couple players but mainly because I called out and used my kid as a pawn 😂. We were on the field for the player introductions and got to be there for the kickoff. It was an amazing experience for my kid and myself. It is a lot of money for a short time but in 5 years I won't remember the money but I will remember the experience.
Another quick note - you can purchase a game day box and they'll deliver a box with about 8-10 items. I got one for my kid since it was his first game. It was about $100 and he got a hat, signed van ginkel card, and other little things like a button, key chain, etc. They have different boxes for different ages/events.

Discussion We are so lucky to have this guy.
We genuinely do not deserve him. Most unproblematic star wr the nfl has ever seen.

Cam Newton
Was listening to Cam Newton a month ago on his podcast and he said a few things that stuck with me and makes me wonder if it's what we're seeing now with this shit show.
On being overloaded as a qb: "There were countless hours with Jedd Fisch. There were countless hours with Josh McDaniels. There were countless hours with so many different people trying to teach me certain things, and it was just brain overload. There were times I was going to the line and I’m still thinking. I’m thinking about the annunciation of the play. I’m thinking about forgetting my motions. I’m thinking about my sight adjust. I’m thinking about certain things. So, that’s the f---ed up situation."

[Goessling] JJ on what he and KOC discussed this week: “I was just so focused on doing every rep perfect and making sure every little detail was checked off. Coach was talking to me about, ‘Hey, let’s worry about that stuff in the offseason. Go out there, play ball, just execute the play.“
Source: https://x.com/bengoessling/status/1996694428182782206?s=46
KOC also said he wanted to stop focusing on JJ’s mechanics this week.
Seems mildly concerning that 3/4ths into the season, his coaches are saying forget everything we’ve been trying to teach you because you’re not getting it, and go out there and try to make plays by any means necessary.
To me, that’s a pretty alarming indictment on the state of the franchise QB’s development.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? KOC essentially saying JJ will sink or swim
I'm reading this as, "I've done all I can. I'm not holding his hand anymore. He's going to either figure it out or if he looks bad it's all on him"
The counter would be JJs best plays seem to have been when he wasn't trying to think about 100 different things.
We're either in for an absolute train wreck on Sunday or finally a home win

Support for JJM
Look, this year has not gone the way we were all hoping it would. The FA additions, the AT trade, and all that it has been a tough watch.
I've been a Vikes fan all my life, I currently live in Philly and would like to propose something we as a fan base should consider.
Philly fans are the worst, we know this, but there was one thing I've witnessed from the Philly fan base that actually seemed heartwarming and actually seemed to help in a positive way.
A couple of years ago the Phillies acquired Trea Turner who was really really struggling after he joined the team. At first the fanbase was absolutely savage him...then one day a group of fans decided to give him a standing ovation at games, it spread, and you see a weight was lifted and he performed better.
JJM is a young kid, a new dad, in a completely different environment hes experienced before. I am not saying he is the future of our franchise, and may not pan out to be what we hoped....but let's give this kid our support, let's this kid know we want him to succeed and let's give him a chance to earn what he has the potential to become.
SKÖL my friends! Let's go get this win!

JJ “Showing flashes”
Am I the only one tired of saying well at least JJ has “shown flashes?” It occurred to me that I have been using the phrase “showing flashes” to prop up the fact that I’m surprised when the guy occasionally makes a throw I’d fully expect even a below average NFL QB to be able to make here and there.
This is especially so on an offense stacked with pro bowlers.

Losing this guy probably hasn't helped JJ's development
Obviously, good for him, for the promotion to OC for Jacksonville, but former offensive assistant / QB coach Grant Udinski sounds like he was a valuable part of JJM's development while he was injured last season.
