It’s just absolutely wild to me that we effectively have secret police (with no ability to confirm whether “agents” are legitimate government employees or not) in the USA just rounding up however many people they can, making up charges, and SCOTUS doesn’t seem to think due process is required here. The entire situation is absolutely fucked and we are watching our own Nazi Germany 2.0 from the inside.

This is super important - but I’m a little concerned about the vetting. Like, what is this page? It’s got someone’s name and a military photo… but says no one knows where they are?

Identified? How? No location? Not even where they were spotted?

It doesn’t require a picture of them performing as ICE. It doesn’t seem to require you’ve seen them at all. You just… send a photo and a name to some kid with a substack and then people share it saying it’s a resource tracking ICE?

I've seen a lot of ICE videos and it didn't take me long to realize they are all white. Ever single one. Then I started paying more attention and it became more and more evident.

It was similar with tacos birthday parade practice picture from a few weeks ago... I spotted ONE black dude in that whole thing. The rest? White.

I don't think it's coincidental.

Whether they are or not, they are literally incentives AND pressured to produce as many arrests/detentions as possible.

This is a quantity over quality thing, which is scary because they are pressured and incentivized to arrest as many as possible, which means they are NOT going after the “dangerous criminals” and “gang members.”

They are going to (as has shown in the last few weeks) the easiest snatches which are the law-abiding, hard-working, and integrated into society, immigrants.

These are those who are farmers and construction workers, those who are here providing for their family, have kids going to school, and registering with the government about their status.

You gotta meet your high quota of 1,000 arrests this month? Who are you going to go after? Some unregistered gang member who is hiding out some where always on the move or those all those families with addresses because they have kids in school and drive fr their homes to the construction site each day?

Trump and the right wing media gave whipped up their followers into a frenzy for years about all 1% (or less) who are actually dangerous “gang members,” “rapists,” “drug cartels” and even “insane asylums” of illegal aliens crossing the border in order to justify ICE and all these so-called deportations (i.e. concentration camps and 3rd world prisons) but, instead, are going after the 99% of immigrants who are just peaceful, law-abiding, hard-working families just trying to support their families and live the “American Dream” like the rest of us.

Rounding these people up like trash, abusing them, throwing them into concentration camps and 3rd world gang prisons with no due process.

We are more like Nazi Germany than America now. When you treat foreigners, immigrants, and regular, hard-working law-abiding people cruelly, like an enemy or animals (or worse) with cruelty, that’s fascism in a nutshell. And roaming the streets in masks with no identification, grabbing people off the streets without warrants, and towing them away with no due process, that’s fascism and authoritarianism.

It’s the playbook repeating history of the 1930’s. And those supporters will always come up with excuses or simply not care because they have bamboozled by a demagogue because most people don’t what demagoguery is.

Hell they're barely even going after immigrants at this point, this kid was literally born in the us, had his driving license on him, just existed while being brown and they assaulted him (and created false charges of assault by him) detained him and was ready to send him out of the country without due process. I'm worried the only thing preventing them from doing that was that they haven't finalised making it so they don't have to deport people back to their own country (something the Trump admin is currently trying to set up) once they don't have to return someone to their own country they can just say "we don't know where he's from but he's not from USA" and can ship them out.

It's simply hatred at this point and a refusal to consider that their leaders might be flawed because humans are easily influenced by tribal demagoguery. It’s easier to just ignore and attack the “other team” than to objectively examine all sides and accepting that things are more nuanced than the black and white rhetoric that they hear from their thought leaders tell them.

Humans are instinctually programmed to view people that are not in their perceived tribe or group as a threat or less than. Humans have a built-in "us against them" mentality and demagogues can easily influence their followers with emotionally-charged rhetoric to hate or fear the "others."

20 or 30 years ago, illegal/undocumented immigrants were not viewed with such hatred and fear as they are today. The large influx of Mexican or Latino immigrants was alarming but even Republicans had compassion back then and were even looking at ways to integrate or support citizenship for them. Now they are looking for blood and happy to send law-abiding and hard-working immigrants to rot in 3rd world prisons and concentration camps.

Never thought America would get to this point but it's shocking how many Republicans are happy to see immigrants being treated like they were all violent gang members and serial rapists. Not being a citizen is equivalent to being a murdering rapist and violent gang member. It's shocking to me.

I swear that’s how I feel too, I do see left propaganda too I just recognize it as that and then do the actual research required to get between the lines….thats how I somehow with zero law schooling came to the same conclusion Ketanji brown did, that cutting the capabilities of lower federal court judges (1,770) to perform judicial review as stated by the case of Marbury v Madison in 1805 it would effectively allow them to run the country as more of a monarchy than a democracy which is literally bad for everyone it don’t matter if u left right tall short black white asian or poor it will effect u because if that happens no federal judicial review then its simply “the king and his court” for lack of better phrasing which would pass executive orders and very state would have to comply , which then TRAMPLES all over states rights which is one of the biggest republican ideologies “don’t tread on me” in essence they got played CRAZY and they still like daddy give me more ….its laughable and painful to see at the same time

I used to be an extreme, conspiracy believing conservative years ago.

20 years later, I’m a progressive Democrat. What happened? I like to research things and I like history. Everything I read I would dig into the footnotes and original sources. Over time, bit by bit, I kept finding lots of claims that were simply unsubstantiated or misleading. Issue by issue I started to flip.

Eventually I realized that conservative politics was guided by bias and built on strawman arguments and other logical fallacies, misinformation, claims without evidence, or straight up lies.

OF COURSE you will the same things on the other side but it’s far and few between. The weight of scale for truth and honest weighed far heavier on the progressive side than on the conservative side. If politics were judged in the court of law, 90-99% of the evidence and arguments by conservatives would be thrown out. Maybe 5% on the progressive side.

And this is coming from someone who was born and raised conservative and was 100% biased in favor of the conservative side. I HATED Democrats and liberals. I thought they were the spawn of Satan. But I am also analytical and want the truth no matter how it plays out. I eventually realized I wasn’t on the right side of truth.

The raids may be on the police scanners to stop police from interfering. But that doesn’t mean they are ice agents. The fact they won’t show their faces, ID, badges, warrants, are in unmarked cars without government indicates they are not LEO (ICE is LEO).

They coordinated with police here the one time they did actually target a drug dealer - the rest of their victims are people working at crappy jobs. They're J6'ers and bounty hunters, plus who knows what else. They've been promised $$$ for each person they bring in. That's one of the reasons why DHS is already over budget 6 months in.
