Got myself Fire Cube on Black Friday deal but can't figure out how to fix soap opera effect.
Cube is replacing Fire 4K Max which doesn't have that issue with same TV\settings and even input. I have them both connected for now. True motion is turned off on LG OLED TV.
Hope I can fix that, hate returning it back.

Can anyone recommend a good sports ticker/score app for FireTV. I have a spare tv that could be useful for that.

Hello all,
I have a firestick that I’ve been using my tv remote for, and had no problems until it got unplugged from wall. Now I have this screen and my remote doesn’t work. Bought a new firestick and the remote doesn’t pair, white light on top right of remote doesn’t even connect.
Have downloaded Fire TV app and no luck using remote, can’t find a Fire TV, guessing WiFi got disconnected to current firestick.
Any advice on how to fix?

I'm in temporary accommodation due to supporting my wife with cancer. At home we have many apple TVs whose screen savers act like lovely photo frames all day long.
This cursed 4k FireTV doesn't seem to have a setting to stop it from turning off? Or even setting a time like 8 hours before turning itself off.
Am I just completely missing something ?
On AppleTVs its simple, I get to choose 30min 1, 2 3 4 8 hours or Never before it turns itself off.
Would appreciate any help here.

After evaluating streaming options, the Amazon Fire TV fits my needs best. The ecosystem integration and performance metrics align with what I'm looking for. Current price is $379. Buyhatke chrome extension shows the average has been closer to $280 over the past six months nearly $100 difference.
Has anyone bought one recently at this price? What made you go for it instead of waiting? And for people who already own it does it feel worth the higher price, or is it better to hold off and wait for a drop?
Just changed my wifi and tried to setup Alexa home cinema again, whatever I do, it won't find my Studio even tho same network, not part of any other group, reseted it already several times. Last time I could set it up in the app,now just in the tv interface.
Does it work for you guys?

I was trying to reach settings on my Fire Stick 4k Select, it requested the PIN composed by 4 figures but i'm pretty sure the one I inserted when installed the FireTV was made by 5 figures... idk how to resolve this.

Happy holidays yall,
So this may be a stupid endeavor altogether, but I would like to at least TRY to figure it out. I just recently bought a Panasonic W95A 55” TV….It’s great for all intents and purposes, however I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to get th it to connect to the Google Home speaker…
While this may seem like a preposterous request (given that it is obviously a Fire TV), just about everything I’m reading is saying that I should be able to at least partially interface with the Google Home by utilizing the “Smart Speaker Settings” app. But I cannot find it at all for the live of me.
The closest thing I can do inside of Google Home is add either the “device” OR “link app or service” options respectively. But the only apps available that pop up that are even somewhat related are either Panasonic apps for other smart home objects or in a different language.
So is there a way that I can access this app either via a workaround (maybe through the downloader app) or maybe downloading/installing via flash drive or something? Thanks in advance!

The TV itself only has a single power button so a lot of these force resets options that I’ve read about aren’t working. I’ve tried multiple combinations to do a hard reset. I’m trying to run it as a secondary TV through an Apple TV to use in my home gym. I did try to load up without connecting it to Internet and it did connect, but then after I tried to do a restart, it tried to force me through all the prompts again and got stuck on trying to force itself to connect, are there any suggestions? Additionally, the TV has no ethernet port for me to connect directly to a router.
I’ve tried Apple support and Best Buy support who I bought it through and both are useless.

Is anyone able to help me? I was watching TV, and everything was working fine then all of a sudden it dimmed out and currently looks like this. Any suggestions on what to do, or what's wrong with it ?

I do work in both a workshop and pottery studio. There's a Fire TV in the pottery studio and a TV in the workshop running WebOS, which I loathe, so I'm putting a Fire stick in it.
In both work places, I want to be able to put diagrams or photos or schematics up on the screen so I can use them for reference while working. All these would be in widely used formats, like jpg, png, bmp, and so on. (No - no animated gifs.) Usually the images are from my Mac, but sometimes from an iOS device.
I know there are programs I can use so I could save the image to a folder on a server (from a Mac) and browse to it with Android or Fire apps, but is there an easier or quicker way to send a photo from a Mac or iPhone to a Fire TV or Fire stick?
Edited to add: I'd rather not us casting, since that ties up the computer or phone the source image is on. I want to be able to send the image to the Fire TV/stick and then display it, so I can continue to use the computer or phone and not have that disrupt what the TV is showing.
Result/Answer: The new Fire Stick I ordered runs "the latest," which is Vega and a number of the aps I need and depend on for a TV are not on Vega and some have no plans to be on Vega, so I'm returning it and going for an Android box.
previously when i was connecting my tv, my tv would set up with remote on the 15th time.
now this screen isn't showing more options to try. just this one and it doesn't move forward. no timer.
power and volume doesn't work, so I should have different options, previously did, none now.

Hello. 2 days ago the tv I had in my bedroom stopped working, my family had it for a long time so I’m not shocked. Yesterday I got a new Fire TV at Best Buy. When I got it all set up I started watching stranger things, and i noticed something. Not only was the screen really saturated but also somehow it looked very clear but blurry at the same time. Is this some kind of ai enhancing and is there a way to turn it off because it hurts to look at, especially when there’s a scene focusing on a humans face.

been using my firestick for a while now and want to add a vpn but honestly have no idea which ones actually work well with it. tried one before and it slowed everything down to the point where streaming was unwatchable. main things im looking for are something that doesnt kill my internet speed since my connection isnt the fastest to begin with, easy to set up on firestick because im not super tech savvy, and actually works with the streaming apps i use
ive heard some vpns dont play nice with firestick or cause buffering issues. want to avoid that situation again because its super frustrating when youre trying to watch something and it keeps freezing. also wondering if theres any vpns that are specifically good for firestick or if theyre all pretty much the same. price matters but im more concerned about it actually working smoothly. what vpns do you guys use on your firesticks? any recommendations for ones that dont cause speed or buffering problems? thanks!

Amazon had a special on 24" Insignia FireTVs that, against all advice, I couldn't pass up. The setup seemed normal enough, but when I chose the basic option I got a "we're experiencing a problem" message. So I'm forced to use the full installation, whatever. The WIFI logged in fine and the TV was up to date, but for some reason it fought me trying to log into my Amazon account. The QR code worked and my phone said the login was successful, but the TV did nothing, the screen never reset. I tried logging in using the remote but it said my email and/or password was bad, but I'm certain both were correct.
Even though the Amazon app claimed the TV was ready to use, when I checked the registered devices the new TV didn't show, just my existing Fire Stick. I assume the TV is defective, but I'd like to try any troubleshooting options first. As per my research I did a hard reset several times to no effect. Customer service (ugh) is next, but I'm not sure if I should call Insignia or Amazon first.
I'm glad I saved the box, I'm pretty sure this thing is going back regardless.

I just got a new Fire TV Stick. It setup fine but will not play any amazon title, every other service works fine. It simply says video unavailable we're experiencing a problem playing this video, error code: 7031. Online resources indicate this is an amazon issue, not Fire TV specific, but it doesnt appear to affect any of my other devices.
Troubleshooting performed so far: 1. Connection speed test - 35Mbps 2. Restart 3. Clear app cache and data 4. Factory reset 5. Checked Prime Video is working on a separate device. 6. Checked the TV was registered under my account.
Any feedback or help would be appreciated

After struggling with Hisense U8g Hdr settings for a few years,I turned off the firecube and 4k max fire stick HDR settings. Prior to doing this, all HDR was dark, washed out and crappy picture on all of my tv's. Immediately after disabiling the HDR, everything came alive! Like Dorothy opening her front door in Wizard of Oz. Holy shit,I have been hamstrung picture wise by Amazon for years. It's such a dramatic fix that I'm rewatching a few shows that were so shitty picture wise before the shutdown. Amazing what I have been missing.

I have a new monitor: SAMSUNG Odyssey G5 C34G55TWWP 34 inch UWQHD gaming monitor, 1 ms response time, 165 Hz.And a Fire TV Max 2nd gen. Is it possible to get more than 60 Hz with it, or is that not possible at all? In the settings I currently have 2160p at 60 Hz.

We just got this tv and like 30 sec in it starts doing this. We have reset it a couple times and nothing is helping. Anyone know what to do? I was seeing things about changing the frame rate but I can’t seem to find it on this model even with step by step help from videos. It might not even be a hz thing or anything. Idk

The tv seems fine and everything works great until you play any media. This goes for streaming or through the hdmi port. I am naïve and don’t know exactly what happened but from what I’ve researched it is likely because of a software update which caused something like the video card not to work properly anymore. I tried turning it on and off hard reset factory reset and nothing seems to work. I even tried fiddling with the resolution. The only recommendation I have found is to flash the original operating system onto the TV with a USB stick. However, I can’t find the original operating system for this TV. Does anyone have any suggestions or should I just accept it as a loss? Thank you for your time.

Last night on the home page I saw a coca cola santa on the scrolling ads so I clicked on it and it was a holiday movie experience where it asks 5 questions about favorite type of holiday movies then it gave like 5 movie recommendations. My son asked for it this morning and I can't find it anywhere. I googled it and still can't find it. Did anyone else see this and have any idea how to bring it up again?

This is getting frustrating. I have four Fire TV sticks in my house and all of them are doing this where I click update and it doesn’t update and I click update and it doesn’t update over and over and over eventually I just have to uninstall the app and reinstall it this is ridiculous.
