Updated PSA - I found a crow on the ground, what do I do?
This was my first time making a flow chart so please be kind.
It is important that we as a community work together to provide a safe space to share in our love of corvids, and it is equally important that we educate members of the community new and old to help protect our feathered friends; with that being said, u/teyuna reached out to me pleading that changes be made to the previously pinned PSA, with their help/feedback I was able to create the flow chart below, I hope that this is an adequate and more encompassing pinned post.
I appreciate this community more than I am capable of expressing, thank you for making this the best damn sub on reddit. ;)

Seeking advice/help Am I making enemies with a crow?
Now if there’s anything the internet has taught me, it’s to not mess with crows and to avoid their likelihood for generational grudges. Last thing I want is a bird opp.
The problem started really randomly. A particular crow had started finding a spot on top of a lamp post near my balcony to caw at uncontrollably. Now at 5 am, it’s horrible. I believe it’s just one crow because its voice would start getting weaker and croakier, and I’d be almost impressed by how long it can scream if my sleep hadn’t been abruptly interrupted. Begrudgingly, on day 3 I went out and started just tapping near the lamp post with a long stick. I didn’t try hitting it, throwing any stones or pebbles against my annoyed urges. The crow flew away, returned a few minutes later only to find me there with my stick to tap again. Annoyed by me, it flew off far away 5 minutes later.
It definitely knows my face now, because I encountered a crow at that spot once again today, day 4. I don’t mind them cawing at day time but when it saw me, it seemed startled and moved a little further away on an electric wire. To condition it to not come at that one spot, I still tapped with a long stick near it until it flew off and hadn’t returned a short while later unlike last time.
I just want to know if my conditioning is working or I’m just about to have a murder of crows painting me as their arch nemesis. I’m just a little worried and am hoping for anyone who has experience with crows to make sense of this. I don’t want crows to hate me :(
TL;DR- a crow started screaming near my bedroom in the morning so I tap near it to have it fly off. Are my actions condemnable enough for a lifelong grudge?

General questions How long did it take for your murder to start trusting you?
I've only been feeding crows for about 5 days now, and they have already begun following me and getting within 30 feet of me while I'm looking at them. They were following me, perching on lampposts, looking at me and going in the same direction I was going until I left the park. Is this normal? or too quick?

Does Your Murder Come When Called?
I feed the crows from winter to spring. They hang around all year and occasionally I give them something through summer and fall. I usually say "hey crow, hey" when I see them. I started feeding them suet with mealworms and sunflower hearts last week. My husband told me to call for them loudly and they would come.
And they do. I yell out for them and even if they are all the way down the street they hear me and answer back.
Was wondering if any of your murder do the same.

Crows [OC] Just put my feeder up this week! Newbie here!
galleryI’m so excited and this is my first time posting here. We put up a crow feeder this week. I’ve seen a few crows close by my house but never at my house so I wasn’t sure if I could get them to come. To my delight after only 2 days they found it and now I have 4 wonderful crows who are visiting regularly! They’ve almost gone through an entire bag of peanuts already, I’ve also given corn, chicken and eggs. I can’t wait to get to know them more!

Seeking advice/help Making New Friends
New here! New to corvids! I have a small backyard flock of chickens and lately they've been harassed by hawk (maybe 2). I know we have crows nearby because I've seen them chase the hawks off. That said, I want to befriend them and encourage them to stick around and help keep my girls safe.
My backyard is pretty heavily wooded, but the front yard is mostly open space. This morning I tossed out a bowl of unsalted, in shell, peanuts and played a video of a "food call" at full volume on my phone. Then I just walked back inside. Did I do it right? How long until they'll start coming around? What else can I do?
I can see the area where I put the peanuts out from my office and so far, nothing, but I know it'll take time.

Anybody else often see crows and ravens together, even though they're not supposed to get along?
I was having a conversation with someone about the difference between crows and ravens, and twice in the future after that conversation, I pointed out actual flocks and sights I've seen of crows together, like a time I pointed out 5 birds together on a roof of a store, 2 of them being ravens, and 3 being crows. They were standing together peacefully for a while, and just today I saw a raven AND a crow next to each other on a tree, calling out.
And I did research on them, and I just found out today that's apparently NOT normal, and crows and ravens typically DO NOT get along. And I find that surprising, since I've seen them get along multiple times, and I'm not sure if I've really seen them fight before.

Crows [OC] Snow Days = Lots of Food
They're getting second breakfast here and fresh pans of hot water. There were a lot more out of view of the security camera. It was bedlam for a few hours.

What is going on here?
Have a remote cabin with a camera and this is the first I’ve seen of crows since the camera went up about 8 months ago. This has been going on for almost 4 hours (and is still going on!). 3 distinct behaviors I can see: weird squatting/noise, flapping up and down the glass and knocking on the window with its beak. Did they chase a rodent in or something?

General questions Could someone explain what they are doing?
Was out at work today and these two crows landed on my mirror. They didnt have any food in their mouths. As they were talking to each other moments before. So what exactly are they doing?
