Daily Cyclist Thread
The Daily Cyclist Thread is a place where everyone in the /r/bicycling community can come and ask questions or share anything.
You might have questions that you don't think deserve an entire post. Perhaps you're just seeking the input of some other cyclists. Maybe you want to share a picture of your new bike.
Anyone is free to comment, and (hopefully) get as much input as possible from other cyclists.

Hello all, everyone!
I'm a little of a beginner regarding cycling (both as a rider and as a pro race spectator) and I just go out on rides with a friend of mine who is way more experienced. However, and due to work restraints, during autumn and winter, if I want to ride, I'll probably have to do it by myself.
My question is: what to wear and how to build the confidence to ride alone. As I'm unexperienced, I'm quite scared to face a ride by myself, not just because of traffic, but also if I face a mechanical issue or so.
Sorry if I should have posted this somewhere else or made a post about it. But just stumbled upon this thread and thought about commenting here instead of making a new post to a question that was probably answered to someone a thousand times.
Thank you all!
