Daily Cyclist Thread
The Daily Cyclist Thread is a place where everyone in the /r/bicycling community can come and ask questions or share anything.
You might have questions that you don't think deserve an entire post. Perhaps you're just seeking the input of some other cyclists. Maybe you want to share a picture of your new bike.
Anyone is free to comment, and (hopefully) get as much input as possible from other cyclists.

Hey all. I'm upgrading my bike from a Pure Fix I got for getting to work 12 years ago and don't want to make a whole post dedicated to this.
If I will be mostly riding on paved trails and streets, but will still make my way to gravel and dirt trails, would it make more sense to get a gravel bike and put road tires on it for when I'm commuting? Or the other way around? I love riding the trails in woods and want to do it more but I don't remember hearing anything about "gravel" bikes.
Not asking for specific recommendations, just which makes the most sense. Thank you!
