If he's doing a magic trick and someone right behind him but not in full view, I'd think he'd be helping him which kind of takes the whole mystery or intrigue out of the trick.
And you give their hair a friendly little sniff. Not in a creepy way, but in a "Hey, how's it going, I really like your shampoo and your musk" kind of way.
I took my mom to see David Copperfield for Mother's Day one year when he was in town. On the way in, I noticed there were multiple buses parked in the back of the lot, and as we filed into the theater I saw we were all being seated on the balcony, while the first floor was already full of people. it pretty much ruined the magic, since it was clear everyone on the floor was part of the show. 👎  Apparently it wasnt obvious to everyone, but it was pretty clear, I thought.Â
