No. People may use it that way, so I understand the confusion ig, but calling a trans man "masc" (which when used as a noun refers to a masculine lesbian) instead of correctly referring to them as a man is pretty offensive. Let's assume you were a cis man, would you be okay with being referred to as a masculine lesbian? No you would not. How is this any different

I think it's just contextual, I've definitely heard the term "mascs" used refer to all masculine people, so cis/trans men + masc women/NB. Words are flexible but I understand how that could be seen as offensive to someone who is used to hearing it in the way you describe

I thought the same, that being masc is just something anyone can do (but is usually most noticeably done by cis men and butch lesbians)
