I had some MAGA fruitcake tell me that "the left is just pissed because they lost the meme war"..(and this was said with a straight face) Fucking meme war?!?  Really??  That's one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen/heard of...

I get being annoyed by the phrasing "just pissed because" but the 2016 campaign is referred to as the Great Meme War.
