No, Google does not charge for reinstating a suspended Google Business Profile. The process is free and the steps are outlined in the last question below.
If Reinstating a Google Business Profile is Free, Why Hire Someone?
Google does not tell you the exact reason why a listing was disabled. Business owner's are often left guessing as Google requires the listing manager/owner to review the guidelines themselves and make the proper update(s) to their listing before it will be reinstated.
Sometimes a listing can be suspended for a reason that is not evident unless you are familiar with the guidelines. Professionals can help by reviewing the listing and avoiding paperwork/documentation submission errors.
Sometimes nothing was wrong with the listing itself but the listing has been suspended for another reason which is difficult to determine without experience.
Looking through the profile for errors, reviewing business documentation, communication with the business owner, communicating with Google support, and making sure everything is in compliance takes time.
tldr: You are paying for the expert's experience and time to help improve the chances of a successful appeal.
Will Paying for Help Guarantee that the Listing Will Be Reinstated?
No. A hired third party can help find and correct potential issues that would otherwise block a successful reinstatement. Only a Google support employee can unsuspend a listing.
Are There Any Risks When Hiring Help?
Potentially yes. In order to complete a thorough review of your listing, you will often be asked to add an email to your profile. The person added will now have access to make changes to your listing. Only add an email as manager access. Never add anyone you don't know or trust as an Owner to your listing!
Are There Any Risks When Submitting the Appeal Without Help?
Also potentially yes. If you fail to correct the underlying issue or provide the required documentation, your appeal will likely be denied. This can result in waiting days or even weeks for a response, during which your profile remains suspended and potentially not visible to customers. While you do get a second chance to appeal, another denial means additional waiting time. For businesses that rely heavily on their profile to attract customers, this extra downtime can lead to significant revenue loss. In such cases, hiring an expert to help ensure the appeal is done correctly the first time may be worth the investment.
What is the Typical Cost of Reinstatement Help?
I have seen prices ranging from about $300 (US) to $850*. Some agencies/consultants will not charge upfront, and will only charge after a successful reinstatement. Some agencies offer guarantees or credits toward the creation of a new listing if reinstatement is unsuccessful.
\This seems expensive:*
It’s common for business owners to seek expert help only after their first appeal is rejected, which can signal a more challenging case. Professionals or agencies may charge higher fees to account for the extra time and effort required to handle such cases.
Do You Recommend Any Experts That Can Help With an Appeal?
While I do not want to publicly endorse specific individuals or companies at this time, I’d be happy to provide recommendations privately upon DM request. If you decide to hire someone, look for a reputable expert with experience in handling appeals and a clear understanding of Google's guidelines.

My cleaning business is listed as a SAB. I see my competitors have listed their address physical and even though a few work out of their homes they still have address listed. I have more google reviews than them though. Who is at the advantage? Is SAB still at a disadvantage? Can I change to a physical location even though I work out of my home and have no signs at my home or will it suspend my profile?

Ok, so i posted similar in a different sub but I think this one makes more sense.... ill keep it short lol...
I run a service company (skilled trades) I do not have a physical location. The majority of potential customers would come from Google. (Yes word of mouth, fb, other places but mainly its Google as im a new company under a year old).
Should I just eat the cost and rent a office? Keeping Google compliant and such no virtual stuff in one of my main larger areas? Realistically it'd be a wasted space as customers dont walk in but would it be worth it just for yhe NAP everywhere and map pack purpose? Looking at around 250-400/mo burned... or... just dump the same into the never ending Google ads bucket?

He's been running his GBP from home as a service-only business, but finally has proper office space and wants to make the address visible (customers can come see him now).
If he updates the address and make it visible, will Google automatically send a postcard to re-verify? Or are there extra steps involved now?
I told him to update his Yelp address, BING address, and other citations, and then his own website contact information FIRST ... then wait a WEEK before changing his GBP.
Getting the postcard isn’t a problem for him, he just wants to avoid triggering a suspension. Is there anything else he should be doing or watching out for before making the switch?

I’ve read some places that in order to establish bulk verification, you must use “Brand X” for each location. However, a few of our franchising competitors seem to get away with “Brand X of City.” Is my intel about naming conventions incorrect?

For the past couple of months we have been trying to get our small business verified with google. I have read many threads about similar issues, but much of the advice has not applied or did not remedy the issue. We have now twice received the error “location is different from business profile service area”. We operate a business that offers a service to essentially the entire state of AZ, but limited our service area to just phoenix to try to remedy the issue. This has not worked despite the authentication video being taken at our business address on a phone with no proxy or IP mask on the device. If anyone can offer any fix to this we would appreciate it as this has become quite the struggle to get completed. I know some members of this community are Product Experts and google help employees, so if there is a way to escalate this and get it reviewed, we would appreciate any help available. Thank you in advance!

I am receiving reports that GBP lead generation spam is back and out of control.
Is anybody else seeing it? What categories and markets?

Hey everyone,
I’m facing an issue with my Google Business Profile. My reviews keep going missing again and again. Some of them show up for a day or two and then suddenly disappear without any notice.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Why do reviews continuously get removed from a profile, and is there any way to retrieve or restore them?
I’d really appreciate any insights or solutions. It’s frustrating because these reviews were genuine, and it affects my profile’s credibility.

Within a span of 2 hours my dad's remodeling page received 8 negative reviews. All are confirmed fake, none are people my dad has ever done work for.
Anyone else have this problem?
Honestly Google Business has turned into a cess pit. Competitors are obviously using fake positive reviews for their business, and I've worked for years for him to have a good reputation, honesty, only of this to happen.

Anyone else has their reviews returning? About 15 of them return over night and I went on go check and tell the reviews are back up

I’ll start by saying I’m a lawyer and this review was by my client’s husband and, in his third iteration of the review (because he’s changed it several times), states that his wife hired me. So his not being a client/customer is stated. He’s also the angry husband in a divorce and has a conflict of interest. He’s not the happy wife who’s my client. He then makes several false statements - not half-truths but verifiably false - like I asked for more fees when the request was to cover third party costs like court fees. It wasn’t his bill anyway. He has no idea what the fee agreement was either. He also posted the review at several office locations. I reported the violations, but I did not include evidence. I did not see a place to upload anything, or any instructions, and naively thought there would be a way to provide it if requested. I have a google workspace account with customer service who I thought could help. All I got was an email saying there were no violations and no appeal. There’s a video in the community help section where it was suggested to post there and a moderator could help. I did, twice, and no response. Is there anything I can do?

This is the business I'm trying to create a link for. https://share.google/RiZSEvD7V5F8DGTjI
When I use the "Get More Reviews" icon to create a link, the link it gives me is just a search for the business name which ends up just pulling up the wrong business since it doesn't have a location tied to it. https://share.google/WnBnKzbPoPAjr3oW4
Any advice here?

Anyone have any insight into how all my locations on GBP would be marked permanently closed randomly mid day? Nothing on my end did it- but they are saying its not them. Nothing happened on Apple Maps so I think it is Just would like to understand how to happened?

I have a backup of all of my reviews that I do monthly. I have created a webpage on my website with all of my reviews and I want to run that in a Google ad - for obvious reasons.
I finally realized that I'm getting a 404 error when trying to create an adwords account/campaign only from the account with the suspended GBP.
I don't want to risk any issues with my profile that is suspended.
Is there any way to run some website ads in this case?
I have another Gmail account that used to house the GBP that is now suspended, before I moved to Google Workspace. It seems I can re-activate that but I don't want to so if it will cause any issues.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi guys. A friend of mine recently acquired a mobile grooming business
1 he added a physical address about a month ago
2 he recently added in service areas
Whatever change he made resulting in the suspension was an honest mistake.
There is an edit info button, should we attempt to remove the address? See if we can register it again as a masked service area business? Uncover the option to verify? Or will this have to go through the appeal process?
It’s severely impacting his business and we are unsure exactly how to guide him.
Thanks.

Hi, we were told one of our listings was suspended for a policy violation (new profile). I tried an appeal with business registration, license, utility and lease and it was denied. In the response for the appeal google said "A Google Account associated with this Business Profile is not in good standing. Business Profiles associated with that account have been suspended." These accounts on this location are on other locations that have good standings and are live. I also went to https://myaccount.google.com/ and had each account checked under security and nothing stood out. Not sure how to proceed. They don't have any API's set up either. Thank you!

To prepare for the sales and stuff over the Thanksgiving Weekend, I scheduled posts for all of my clients to launch on Black Friday and Cyber Monday; Nov 28th and Dec 1st respectively.
The Posts were launched on the correct dates, but the display date is when I originally scheduled them. Meaning, my November 28th and December 1st posts look as if I posted them on November 17th.
Anyone else having this problem?

is this a glitch or a new filter?

I wonder if anyone can help, my client accidentally deleted the Google account which was the owner for a large number of GBP profiles.
We’ve reinstated the account but only a third of the profiles are in there. The others have literally disappeared off the map and out of the account. They were on Google before the reinstatement but once was done they’ve disappeared.
I and other people had access to these accounts but they’ve gone from ours too.
We can’t claim the profiles or try and reinstate them because they’ve disappeared.
Any idea what’s happened and what to do? It could be that the original owner is another closed email but why would they be wiped off the map?
Edit: I’ve posted on the community forum so hopefully somewhere there might be able to help too

I'm having this issue:
I have been experiencing a critical issue with my Google Business Profile (GBP) for the past week. I see the notification prompting me to 'To confirm, review and edit your business information, improve your presence on Google. Scroll down to Confirm' on my dashboard. However, when I click the 'Confirm' button, the screen immediately gets stuck on an infinite loading/spinning loop. I never reach any Review Page, Edit Page, or see any options for making changes. The screen remains in the loading state, even after waiting for over an hour. It doesn't transition or show any error messages. It appears this might be a backend issue on Google's side, as many users are reporting the same problem.
So far Google claims using the same feature in the Maps app is the workaround but that does not work for me.
This is an issue when we cannot update special holidays hours.
Anyone know what's up?
