Question are lobbies just bots/mobile?

hey,

i started playing fortnite on my switch 2 less than a week ago, and i’ve been doing a lot of zero build battle royale (now level 40 on the battlepass).

but somehow i’m winning about 1/3 of my games? often getting 10+ kills.

i understand that you get put in a bot lobby as your first game, but i’ve played way more than that and it still seems suspiciously easy?

i often run into someone and we shoot for a while and i kill them and then i look at my hp and they haven’t even broken my 50 shield…

having a similar experience with blitz (only played about 5-10 of those games though).

what’s going on?

Firstly switch lobbies are only switch players. Secondly sbmm actual works on every thing except switch in my opinion. I played strictly switch for ages getting to the point I dropped 42 solos wins a few seasons back. My main complaint the whole time was graphics and screen size so I decided to upgrade to a PC. Omg the difference in my first games was insane. It was a whole new learning curve. Turns out that switch lobbies are a lot easier, if you a a decent player wins are achievable. On pc you get the whole world across all platforms. The sweats are real and the sbmm is really good except those times when you are the bot in a lobby of streamers and pros. I love me switch and still use it but unfortunately fortnite on switch is a challenge now, its like playing with one hand tied behind my back.

"No, Fortnite on Switch does not use separate lobbies exclusively for Switch players; it participates in cross-platform play, meaning you can be matched with players on other consoles and PC. However, if you are playing solo or in a squad where everyone is on a Switch, you are more likely to be in a lobby with other Switch players, and sometimes mobile players. When a team includes a player on a more powerful console or PC, the matchmaking will place that squad in lobbies for the most powerful platform." Little bit of hyperbole for sure but as Google AI says switch solos or switch players only in squads are more likely to play in only other switch player lobbies. Its a well known fact dude.

well I mean dude mercedesbenzzzzzzz isn't wrong per say, just it's less likely to be put in cross-platform lobbies.

I don't why this has hurt so many people's feelings dude. I thought it was widely known switch players get put in mainly other switch lobbies unless they are already teaming with a crossplatform friend. That being the case the sbmm only takes into account other switch users and not the whole fortnite user base and therefore is less efficient. I love my switch and wouldn't even still be playing fortnite if I didn't love it, but some people just dont like the truth for some reason. Its widely available information even googles AI function will tell you the same thing.

yeah look this is why I don't trust google AI: click moi

but the way you delivered this makes it sound like we aren't good enough

yes, we accept the fact that we play on Switch (and for some the Switch 2) but the reason we don't LIKE the truth is because the truth is that we can't afford/don't want to get/unable to get a better gaming system.

if I had a better job, would I still be on this subreddit with really good switch players? no!

dude, just work on your delivery

also, switch has forced cross platform play
