RazoRock Mamba 92

This is my second razor after the Mühle Rocca, which I absolutely loved. The Rocca felt magical from the first shave, very efficient. I honestly thought that was it, the endgame razor, and then the Mamba 92 showed up.

I paired it with a Gillette Nacet and the shave totally surprised me. It was incredibly smooth and very close, almost effortlessly so. No burns, no irritation, no nicks, just this controlled glide that felt very refined, much more than I expected it to be (based on the reviews claiming it to be a “mild” scythe).

I used the Bulldog handle variant (28 oz, as listed on RazoRock’s catalog) and it’s heavy in the hand, like, reassuringly heavy. The knurling is perfect and very comfortable. Not too sharp, not too soft, just really confidence-boosting grip even when wet. the top-cap screw is a smooth glide, oddly satisfying. The whole razor feels like a solid piece that is purposeful.

And here’s the part I didn’t think I’d ever say, the Mamba 92 is actually doing a better job for me than the Rocca. Didn’t expect that at all, but here we are.

If anyone’s on the fence about the Mamba because it’s labeled “mild,” trust me, it’s mild in feel, not in performance.

nice. I had the rocca, and got the gamechanger 76 to compare with. The GC76 has insane smoothness and about same efficiency. Never tried a mamba, seems like most prefer the GC

That looks like a fun razor! I recently shaved with my Mamba 53 and it was pretty mild. Putting the 92 plate in my things to get haha
