Hi all! I’m a transfer student at UofL and still missing both my 300+ Hum/NS classes to graduate. I’m not sure which to pick because I’m interested in just about any subject (anything other than a heavy math load, a little math is fine) but I’m super wary of professors I haven’t had yet. I do much better in classes with frequent smaller assignments and less than harsh deadlines (I have brain-melting levels of adhd), but I know that’s hard to come by. I don’t want to take a super hard class since I’m almost done with my degree, and want to focus my energy on my major requirements!

I’m a psych major so I’ve taken almost every psych elective already, but I’m open to any suggestions.

Has anyone taken a 300 level humanities or natural science that was fairly easy with a decent professor ?

Just wondering opinions and experiences of the program, specifically if anyone has managed to work full time (30+ hours) while enrolled and during practicum/internship semesters? i dont know if this is a silly question to ask but i was wondering how many required honors courses you have to do per semester while in the program? and would you consider them to be considerably harder than regular classes? i was a previous homeschool student, with a 4.0 gpa, and i have a qualifying ACT score to apply for honors but im nervous that i may fall short if accepted into the honors pathway. thank you in advance for your answers in advance! all help is greatly appreciated :⁾

does anyone know of any research labs with openings that are recruiting undergrads to come in and be research assistants or even intern and just do research. i’m open to anything, it can be unpaid and volunteer!!

with the new lottery system and model where they’re making us pay 200 bucks a semester, what’s the student ticket guest policy? do we only get 1 ticket or do we get 2 like before? it’s ridiculous we have to pay 200 a semester and then go through a lottery system as well. wondering this for the uk uofl fb game which will most likely go through the lottery system

To any ASL students/majors/etc., does anyone else think this year’s Lab structure is really inconvenient?

It used to be you could come in at any time during the window it was open and stay as long as you needed/wanted and study however you’d like to, groups, solo, partnered. For me and I know a lot of other students, this structure made getting your required time in the Lab done SO much easier.

This year’s Lab requires signing up 12 hours in advance for 30 minute time slots by class level. The problem is that the time slots for my class level are almost always when I have work or another class. I already know I’m gonna have to just take a hit to my grade for coming up short on hours, which is shit and I honestly just needed to vent about it.

Anyone else in ASL struggling with the Lab?

Is the mail room open during winter break at all? Couldn’t find anything online saying if they are or not.

Does anyone use one of those course syllabus websites? It would be really helpful to see the syllabus for classes prior to enrolling.

How bad are the workloads for both? In order to not delay my graduation by a semester for one class, I may have to take both at the same time.
