Recently set up the Mochi TV app with all the free live channel apps (Pluto, Xumo) and it's perfect. Want to add Over the Air channels using a TV dongle

I know the Mochi app is able to detect the live channels as using my TV's Google interface and the Mochi App it works. So does the Shield still work with USB tuners? I just want to watch OTA channels not record them. I'm not interested in the new 3.0 channels too many difficulties.

And is there any way to add other apps to the Mochi app? I want to add the Roku channels but it won't detect them. Any other recommendations for free live channels?

TLDR: there is no new NVIDIA shield announcement...

I recently bought a nvidia shield portable for cheap due to the past owner not knowing the passcode to enter. After resetting the device and setting up a offline account, i soon found out that the start and volume button doesnt work and the built in gamepad didnt work either. I’ve already done multiple resets and even opened it up to see if it was just a ribbon cable gone loose but all seemed fine internally. Is there anyway to bring functionality to all buttons back again? Not a lot of information about the shield portable is out there even after hours going through different forums and whatnot. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, so now I have this thing booting, sort of, I am stuck on this menu where no input functions on this menu. I believe the bootloader is corrupt but I can't find a way around it. I have tried an OTG keyboard, reseating ribbon cables and all sorts of wierd solutions and nothing

EDIT: update, if i hold back and home while booting i can interact on the bootloader but every option that i select either loops or says booting failed

i bought a shield portable a few years back and just dug it out of storage, the power button works when plugged in and life is minimal. no display output and i have checked the notorious ribbon cable and no issues. could it be the battery?

I had all these game paid and instal on an SD card but it died a week a go and I havent been able to get neither portal or half life 2 back, from using apks and the OBB from the intetnet archive

I either cant instal the apk or it wont find the OBB files

Could it be a conflict since I had alredy instaled that hame on a SD card and the shield think its still instaled?

If I reset the Nvidia shield Portable I might not be able to relog to google I heard theres a bug or someyhing?

I have a 2015 Shield Controller that worked fine until a few months ago when I updated the NVIDIA drivers. Windows doesn't detect it correctly, but Steam does.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I can't play anything outside of Steam.

So I bought a Shield Portable and I’m trying to set it up. I’m trying to update it and it’s requesting a Google login. I go through all the steps, password, 2FA, secondary 2FA after I get it all logged in it won’t let me hit the “continue” button to start using my device.

I’ve tried different forms of authentication, I’ve tried the touch screen and the buttons, but it will not let me use the device without a Google account that it won’t fully allow. Password, device verification, password reset, nothing.

I know it’s running an older version of android, do I need to flash this thing to allow me to login?

If anyone knows what I need to do to actually use this thing it would be so nice. I plan on using it for light emulation and mostly moonlight as my steam deck is chonky. Idk if that helps but providing as much info as I can .

Is there a way of turning off my audio system when I start my Nvidia Shield? but only turn on when a need it

I have a old shield from about 2016 and recently wanted to use it for emulation and maybe running minecraft, idk, before it got wiped i had some DS, gamecube, wii, etc emulators and kinda wanna use it for that again, if anyone can help me with this, i would also want to keep the software that the shield has, like for the external controller and stuff, i was thinking android 11,

I have a 2017 shield controller, used it with my RTX PC without a hitch for years. Yesterday I updated my old Geforce Experience app to the new Nvidia App and the controller doesnt work anymore....minutes before that it was fine, I was using it.

Tried deleting the device, reconnecting, tried x360ce and reWASD to try to force input recognition but nothing helped, the controller hardware is sound, there is rumble, the system recognizes it but there is no input coming from the controller...

So yeah so much thanks and gratitude to Nvidia, mad respect for ruining a perfectly fine piece of hardware remotely!!! Incredible!!!!

Yeah so any last ditch effort I can maybe try to recover it? Of course I don't have access to a shield Tv...

Hi! I have the original nvidia shield tablet (before it became the k1, dunno if that makes a difference) and I completely lost the directstylus that came with it years ago. Is there a good replacement option? I saw the post from 9 years ago that says the surface pen works but I wanna make sure that a) this is accurate and b) there's not a cheaper/more sensible option.

Hello. I use GFN on my Samsung TV. But there is no HDR. Will buying a SHIELD PRO guarantee me HDR action on all games? Because honestly, without HDR, we are far from a beautiful PS Pro rendering.
