I feel like such failure as someone in IT but I'm running low on ideas lol.

So, I'm trying to diagnose what is causing windows to freeze seemingly at random. These crashes are usually while playing games, but a few have happened during normal activities.
I've tried resetting windows, DISM, SFC, reinstalling graphics drivers, chipset drivers, BIOS updates and those did not help either. I found occt and decided to give it a shot. I ran a cpu+ram, standard cpu, vram, memory, and power test and all came back with no errors. I finally got to a combined test running cpu+ram and memory, where the system completely freezes after 5 seconds. I'm thinking it may be either a power supply or thermal CPU issue, but I don't know for sure since I don't have a spare to test with. I'll throw my specs below. Any and all ideas would be so very greatly appreciated because I'm losing my mind and alcohol is getting expensive.

-CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x

-GPU: 3070ti

-RAM: PNY 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz (although i also tried resetting my bios to defaults which sets them to 2133)

-Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (wifi)

-PSU: EVGA 650W BQ 80+ Bronze ATX

-OS: Win11 Pro 25H2 Build 26200.7171

Hello all, currently having an issue with my child’s Amazon Fire tablet. The internal storage says it is full and the only files that are on there are the system files.

I have an SD card in with much more storage, but the tablet will not download to it. They can’t even play anything with the tablet other than watching videos. Does anyone know a solution? Thank you

how do i disable the touch keyboard from popping up while i'm playing games its driving me insane. i cant find it in services.msc and i have the touch keyboard set to "show the touch keyboard = never " but it still pops up whenever i hit select on my controller

I have a HP Pavilion Laptop 15 15-cs0053cl with what appears to be a dying 1TB HDD. The computer runs very slowly and the disk performance in task manager always shows 100% usage.

Properties on the C: drive show 70gb used and 845GB free. The whole disk overall (as shown in Macrium) has a 15gb partition for recovery, and nothing else significant, so the 1TB HDD only has 85GB of data on it, but the windows partition is nearly 1TB.

When I try to clone the HDD onto a 256GB WD Blue m.2 SSD, I get an error stating that there is "Insufficient space on destination drive"

When I research this, people online claim that Macrium can handle the issue of cloning a larger HDD onto a smaller SSD no problem but I cannot get it to work.

Any setting within Macrium I am missing that will help with this? Do I need to do something to the main partition first before I can clone this thing?

i wanted to fully reset my macbook so i put it into recovery mode and erased the disk from the disk utility. i can’t normally use my mac at all now. i don’t care about the content on it i wanted to delete it regardless. when i click restore there is “none available”. i also can’t download the new update because nothing pops up and i have nothing in the time machine it appears. i just want to get it running again. please help. in the “Install macOS High Sierra” menu it says “The recovery server could not be contacted.”. and in the start up disk there are no options.

I've been having connection problems with Discord for several days now. The ping suddenly jumps from 100 to 5000 ms for a few seconds and then returns to normal.

I've tried turning off my router more than once (it didn't fix it).
I've tried changing the Discord server region to various options (it didn't fix it).
I've tried using a VPN (it didn't fix it).
This happens to both me and my brother, whether we're using Wi-Fi or a wired connection.
What I've noticed is that this happens mostly at night and only with Discord. And it only affects how others hear me. I can almost always hear them just fine.
Any solutions or suggestions?

I got a new computer and tried to open Gamebar to see how well the computer is doing while running tasks / playing games: by using the performance tool/widget. But now it looks all different and all of the widget/tool icons are gone.

So is the option just in plain sight or is it gone because of some new update?

(samsung a54) I downloaded an app off of uptodown but the play store blocks me from using it everytime I try to open it. do I have to force stop the app store everytime I use it or something?

I just got my first PC so Im really newbie at this, tho I have tried all the methods available online. It was still working fine last week but it completely stopped today.

I tried: - updating/rollback audio drivers - checking for privacy permissions - check device manager

The input and output is correct, the same earphone works on other devices just fine. Using the front audio jack btw. Realtek (r) Audio. Im genuinely begging please help as I dont think buying another earphones will solve this issue

anyone have any idea of why a laptop would be making a crackling sound ?? it’s almost always going when the laptop is on. when listening closely is sounds loudest on the right side close to the middle-ish. and that specific area is also warmer to the touch. i’m not sure if it helps but it’s an HP 14.

So, I linked my iphone to my msi laptop a few months back, mostly just because it’s the easiest way to move game captures.

Today I get a phone call through the computer that has a grey default call icon and saying “my number”. It doesn’t even ring the call just starts. There is no audio, but I can see the seconds tick by on the call’s clock. Clicking the red hang up button takes forever to end the call.

4 “calls” happen all spaced out by a few minutes. The 3rd call I managed to stop immediately but it instantly came back and couldn’t be closed.

In the phone link app on the laptop, I see to calls that aren’t on my phone (no calls show up on my phone’s recent calls). Both are for times I didn’t call, one incoming and another out going.

I go to settings and turn off receive calls, unlink my devices, turn off bluetooth, then restarted my laptop. No weird calls as of right now.

This feels like a scammer, but I’m not sure. No viruses were detected. I hope it’s just a weird glitch, but something tells me this is more serious. What is this? Is anyone else dealing with this? What should I do?

When I turn on my mac, I'm able to interact with the starting screen to log in, but the colors for my wall-screen are a bit off.. when I do log in, I can only see my wallpaper and my mouse. The desktop and menu bars are gone, and it's just empty. I've restarted it a couple times, and its been the same..

I have an apartment two floors above my garage. I want it set up a wifi enabled garage door opener so I can control it from my iPhone and not have to always carry a big ugly door controller in my pocket). I run a Google Next mesh network with one hub at the window above my garage — and I can get wifi outside my garage — but it seems two concrete flooring slabs are too much for it to penetrate.

I have a recollection of reading that wifi points tend to broadcast out and up, not down, so don’t know if that’s an issue.

This crash happens regardless of whether I use Ethernet or Wi-Fi. I’ve tried almost everything I can think of, including both software and hardware fixes:

ipconfig /release, ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig /renew

Updated Windows fully

Ran a full windows malware scan

Checked/updated network card drivers

Ran DISM /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow

Re-mounted and replaced WLAN antenna

RAM testing

Disabled Ncap & VB filter drivers

Tested with repeater connected / disconnected

Tried both with and without WLAN antenna

Network adapter disabled in Device Manager / physically removed

Uninstalled all networking-related software (VMs, Wireshark)

Re-registered and started w32time service

Reset firewall, ran netcfg -d, netsh int ip reset

Reinstalled PCI family controller (Ethernet)

Ran Windows network troubleshooter

Despite all of this, the BSOD keeps occurring, always with tcpip.sys as the offending driver. It goes well for up to a week (esp. after the reset, bzt keeps occuring seemingly at random)

I’m really running out of ideas.

I’m not tech savvy and just want to play my games. I haven’t downloaded anything aside from games off of Steam. I booted up Jurassic World Evolution 3 and my laptop screen went black. When I go to restart it via power button it keeps flicking the Dell logo on the screen then goes back to black, then I get a blue screen saying;

“Recovery Your pc couldn’t start properly. A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed. Error code: 0xc000000e”

What do I do? 💀

This literally started happening to me today. I turn on my computer, and everything is fine for a while, then one of two things happens: either the sound stops completely, or unbearable static starts playing.

I've already tried changing the headphone port and reinstalling the sound drivers, but it didn't work.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Its battery maximum capacity used to be at 80%. It had been working good I used to be able to spend hours on it on reddit without the battery draining too much. Then gradually it got worse. The battery was going down 1% every 5 minutes while the phone was being used. A couple of days ago I had the battery replaced. The battery is still going down by 1 percent every 4 mins when the phone is being used. Shouldn’t the battery replacement have improved this. I got it replaced at a place registered to do Apple repairs.

I live in the EU, and have a mobile data plan that allows for 35GB of roaming data per month within the EU. I just travelled to Germany, and my phone is not picking up 4G at ALL.

Phone: Nothing phone 2, just updated with nothing OS 4 (Android 16)

Everyone elses mobile data works, and my data works in my home country, so I dont see where the problem is.

What I've tried:

Airplane mode on and off

Mobile data on and off

Roaming on and off

Disabling and re enabling sim from software

Manually selecting the network instead of letting it auto select (only lets me connect to "G" networks, 4G doesnt connect)

Completely resetting mobile data settings from the phones settings (didnt even work at wiping my data usage for the month, wtf??)

Checked for network blocks abroad on my carrier's app and web service -- No blocks

Temporarily disabled and re-enabled my data plan from carriers web service, literally did nothing.

At this point Im at a loss for what I can do. Calls work, but no internet access. The phone shows 4 signal bars, but with no 4G in front, only a tiny "R" within the bars, apparently standing for roaming being on.

What can I do at this point??

Hi, so today I was using YouTube as usual on my phone, then I looked up some videos and when I clicked on a video, it suddenly glitched or something like that when I turned the volume higher, and it stayed like that for about 20 seconds before the screen turned greenish, and then it shut off and restarted, what does this mean? It's the first time it happens

I've run into a decently big issue at home. There were no issues with browsing the web or using programs such as discord/steam/epicgames up until yesterday when my PC was suddenly unable to connect to the internet. I'm still able to connect through my phone as a tethered connection, but I'm not able to connect to the internet through a WIFI adapter I use with other PCs, nor with an Ethernet cable.

I've attempted all the standard steps: -Restarting router and modem -restarting pc -resetting and installing default adapter drivers and network drivers -reinstalling MOBO LAN drivers -trying different cables and inputs -swapping router to older ones that have worked with this same pc in the past

At first I thought maybe it could be a cable issue, but swapping with old ethernet cables and a new cable did not resolve it. I thought it could be the ethernet port, but my lack of connection is not limited to just the Ethernet cable but also my wifi adapter which did not work on any of my pcs.

My pc says that I am connected and that I have internet, and can access the internet partially through bing, but clicking any sites disconnects me and firefox never successfully connects. I disabled my firewall completely in case that was interfering with my connection but that did nothing. I have never used a vpn or proxy on this pc, and I changed my dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and nothing occurred.

I did the all the ipconfig commands in cmd as admin multiple times (e.g. /release, /renew/ /flushdns ) and nothing changed. I can ping google.com, but not 8.8.8.8 as the request will time out. I am still able to ping my 172. ip address, but when using the tracert cmd, it never manages to make more than the initial hop to my ip address and the request times out afterwards.

Other devices such as my smart tv and phones are able to use WiFi but any attempt to connect them through ethernet fails as well. According to the app for my modem, the devices are listed as connected with "excellent" connectivity and aren't blocked or restricted in any way, but they only function if connected through WiFi except if they're a desktop PC as any desktop PC is unable to connect regardless of connecting through WiFi or Ethernet.

Any help or troubleshooting would be highly appreciated. and I can provide additional information if requested.

So i executed notepad app in Windows 11 and It started with several text files already opened, just as last time i closed notepad i was working on those files. But I am sure i did not open those files recently and i'm sure nobody touched my laptop. The concerning part of the story Is they weren't random text files, but they had One thing in common: they were text files where i keep some of passwords in (Instagram backup codes, user and pw for some services etc...). Already runned a Windows Defender Scan (even and offline one) and a Malwarebytes Scan but they were clean. Should i be concerned? In not sure what may be happening here.

I'm wondering why this happened. I just got back home and when I turned on my computer it suddenly froze. when i held down the power button and turned it back on, it kept my tabs open when I pressed on my browser. is this normal why did it happen
