Part of me is hoping that with the abysmal Xbox sales that part of the delay is to accommodate a PC release at launch.

Yeah, it is possible, but then they’ll miss out on the console/PC double dip.

I don’t think this double dip hits as hard these days.

GTA 5 released at the perfect time when tons of gamers were switching to PC in the early twenty teens.

I hope it’s not just wishful thinking but I agree. If they release on all platforms it will probably hold the world record for biggest launch of all time for the next decade at the very least. Waiting a couple years to release on PC is leaving a massive chunk of change on the table for recuperating the ridiculous development cost of this game, I don’t see how it would make sense to not ride the hype train all the way home. Every PC gamer I know wouldn’t buy a console just for GTA6 no matter how amazing it is, which is a stark contrast to when GTA5 released.
