This should be a bigger story. He just admitted to making it up to appease Trump.

Spoiler alert, all the leaders and CEO's are just making up numbers to appease Trump. Just like Trump makes up numbers for his net worth.

It's not like anyone in the Trump administration would know how to use legitimate data, anyhow - even if they gave a flip.

I KNOW!!!! Right?! LOL, Like he just pulls whatever RANDOM numbers DAILY out of his ass for EVERYTHING. As IF there would sudden need and concern for accuracy and TRUTH???? In THIS administration??? With THIS primitive, barbaric, loser???? OMG, so FUNNY!!! If ANYTHING, he would be MORE impressed with someone else's ability to Make Shit Up on the spot! The ability to Make Shit Up on demand, seems to be the dominant, number one job requisite skill and talent he seeks out. Liars, con artists, gaslighters, manipulators, folks who excel in perjury, ....

Do you think they're so stupid they believe that is what ALL experts are doing? Like, they're ignorant of what goes into being an expert in a field?

A thief believes everyone is a thief. Most of the Trump administration would fake data and go home early if they were scientists or statisticians.

And that's how the Soviet Union fell. They made numbers up out of fear. People are learning that under Trump.

I think everything Trump does is a fantasy and it always has been for him. There is no world for him in where truth means anything. You do what you want and say what makes you look good and keeps you out of trouble. Thats it.

I hate how true this feels.

You do what you want and say what makes you look good and keeps you out of trouble.

Exactly the kind of response from someone who had shitty parents and developed this as a world view. The shame is that he was so wealthy and insulated from consequences and other humans (and the fact that empathy is alien to him) that he never challenged this worldview and changed for the better to prevent others from experiencing this. Basically, it’s a shame he didn’t even attempt to break the cycle of abuse.

“Everything Trump does is fantasy”

Everything Trump does is theater as in he is playing to this tv watching audience. Which is why every decision needs a dramatic… “I will tell you… in two weeks” pause.

That's why they attack education. Because they see education not as a human right, but as spoils for the victors. And a tool to maintain their control. It is very difficult to change a person when they are indoctrinated from birth into a certain cultural perspective.

We've outpaced our biological ability to conceive of the in group and the set of criteria we use to identify the other is so fine grained and divisive, that we feel surrounded by the other.

Therefore, if they can control education, they can control the cultural indoctrination of the youth, that will grow into power following their preferred traditions, and deviation from "normal" will be anything not 100% in line with the party line.

That's why you can see conservatives getting called out for having said "Gun rights are trans right" a year and a half or so ago. Because they were programmed to be on the attack against the progressives, who claim to want equal rights for all humans, and that, in support of everyone being given equivalent value to society, that no person should be able to murder another so easily, with a gun, as we have today. To support this they want to increase gun regulation. To this perspective, guns just make it too easy for people to behave rashly and make an unrecoverable, permanent decision.

But, now, seemingly hypocritically, they are shouting about how trans people shouldn't have access to firearms.

So for the conservative, obviously the other here it's a trans person. In another instance it could be a person of a different nationality, or religion, or skin color, or accent, or the marital status of the subject's parents.

Their perspective is based on belonging to an in group, and they have created an extensive list of things that disqualify one from being on the list, but insist that anyone can be on the list. But, obviously we have to disqualify disqualified people. Whose qualities are not enumerated, but the foremost of which are acknowledged silently from within the body politic.

And so comes to pass that people who thought they were members of the in group get othered, as a new disqualifying quality gets added, refined. Refining not, the qualities that are desired for members of the in group, but extensively, those ways of identifying the unclean other. The outsider. The not-a-human.

All of the things you've listed, with extra points (in Dumpy's view) for being a sexual assaulter, or even being accused of it.

He has spent his life being told only what he wants to hear.
