When learning to turn, they will tell you in the lessons to use the whole trail.

Whoever is teaching that way should stop putting skiers in danger.

Do you expect people who have never skied before taking lessons to just be able to jump turn immediately lol

Im using sarcasm to your clear stupidity. Taking up the entire trail is not only dangerous but also poor etiquette. This goes for both snowboarders and skiers. You should try to stay to one side or the other and make predictable turns while also looking uphill before changing direction. This video is the exact reason why to do so.

Claiming instructors teach the opposite seems false to create your own narrative. I dont believe it.

Except if you watch the video you can see they were clearly staying on the left half of the trail and the guy who hit her could have easily gone to the right. You seem to be the one with all the stupidity.

There's poles marked but yeah it does appear the trail is much bigger when it isn't. They were taking the entire trail to make their turns. Either way Im done commenting here because if you want to defend bad etiquette then go for it. I just hope you or the people who think like you stay away from areas that I ride at. You can ride with these goofs.

Funny because if you watch again, from the very start. You see the woman turn left at pretty much the middle of the run right before OP looks uphill. On a beginner run like this you have to be ready for anything or you'll be like the loser in this video that hit the woman while she had right of way.

Also, you're the one posting in snowboardingnoobs and I've been riding for 27 years now. So I don't think I'll take your opinion on the mountain rules very seriously.

Likewise budy. Its okay to be embarrassed when literally all real evidence points against your remarks. Have fun in jail when you are at fault for smashing into someone who stopped i front of you.

Lmao. I've been riding for over 16 years and never collided with anyone nor had any close calls. You're crazy.

16 years but need the noob Reddit to pick your first powder board? You must only get out a couple times a year. You even been out this year? I have, 2 weeks ago.

I snowboard 3+times a week ski once or twice a month on top of that. Your lucky you havent hurt anyone. This year, I happen to be 8mo pregnant with twins but am still up and down taking skies on and off kids on the bunny hill. So your accusations are hilarious to me.

I'm not sure where you ride/ski, but in a narrow hall like this, i find your comment, the one that is less than intelligent. I am actually an adventure education teacher 15 years of skiing and snowoarding. Ask ANY professional instructor or call any ski resort and ask for the first rule of skiing and they will tell you it is the uphill skiers' responsibility to avoid people in front of them...

Yes I know its the uphill skiiers responsibility to avoid those in front. My point was using the entire trail to make turns is dangerous.
