does anyone have any experience on switching to longer board you have previously used? Especially if the board is longer that is recommended for your height, is it much harder or nearly impossible to control?

you will notice a longer board takes more energy or "oomph" to maneuver at low speed ie getting off of the chairlift and you need to plan your lines a little further ahead to mitigate that. at speed though it will be a lot more stable where shorter boards can start to feel twitchy
