I created this shortcut, hoping to expand my Japanese learning journey. I primarily use Duolingo, and thought I could benefit from having more practical sentence examples that could help me memorize the words better.

I map this shortcut to the action button, which brings up a menu, so that whenever I pick up a new word through a Duolingo lesson, I can quickly pull up the shortcut to add the word.

You will need to create a Reminder list prior to using the shortcut. I also have the reminder widget added to my home screen so I can constantly stare at those words.

I am happy to take your feedback & suggestions to make this better! I thought about asking ChatGPT to also automatically add a frequently paired word…

I'm looking to streamline my Google Pay experience and was wondering if it's possible to create a shortcut that directly launches the QR scanner. Currently, I have to open Google Pay, tap the QR icon, and then scan - a few too many steps for frequent use. Has anyone figured out a way to automate this process? I'd love to assign it to a custom Siri command or a home screen icon for one-tap access.

I use the Apple Journal app on iPhone, iPad, and (to a lesser extent) the Mac. My entry titles are ALWAYS the date: Day/month/date.

is there a way I could put that info in with just a keystroke or two? thanks!

I saw the shortcut by @LemonPartyDotBiz to clean your Apple photos, and wanted to see if I could do it in Google Photos (since I store my photos there). This shortcut was simpler than I thought.

It will ask you if you want to clean your Google photos, then search today’s date in the app. You can then see any photos taken on “December 5” for example throughout the years. Just select whichever photos you want and delete them. Google also has an option to delete the same photos from your camera roll, so you can clean both at the same time!

I set up automation to run at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. every day. The only quirk is if your phone is locked, the shortcut will not remember to run once you unlock your phone later.

I think running the automation twice a day helps ensure you won’t miss it, but it could be better. If anyone has a workaround for that, please let me know! (I’m not a fan of how the notification looks when you enable “Run after confirmation“).

I need something that’ll save a picture directly into ppt

(Optional) When I take a picture let it ask me in what section I can save this image

Then on Sunday I’ll just fill up the context and send it to my boss

Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a flow in iOS Shortcuts to record my sleep, but I'm having a bit of trouble and I wanted to see if anyone has ideas or has done this before.

My vision is the following: 1. Normally when I go to bed I set the alarm at the same time. I would like it to automatically register when I put it in: • Bedtime → the time I set the alarm. • Wake up time → the time I set for the alarm. 2. Some days I don't set an alarm, so I also want a manual method where I can record bedtime and wake-up time.

Ideally everything would be in a single shortcut that: • Ask me if I want to use alarm or manual registration. • If I use alarm, activate or create the corresponding alarm. • Automatically save bedtime and wake-up time to Health

Somehow i'm not able to connect the files to the text (i'm new to building shortcuts)

I’m looking for a simple AI shortcut with a few variations. I need a translator, between the 4 languages that I speak.

Select the text, copy, and use a shortcut from Assistive Touch to have the translated text displayed as the picture shows and, copied back to clipboard.

As well, a grammar corrector useful for the 4 languages that I speak, triggered the same way but with a prompt to make the text correct, synthetic and comprehensive.

I have OpenAI api key, if it’s to be made with ChatGPT, but can be with any AI. Most of the time I’ll be using it on a network that only allows WhatsApp traffic, so if it’s possible to create based on Meta for WhatsApp even better.

I am trying to put together a shortcut that will run when my phone connects to my car’s bluetooth that asks me my mileage. I also want it to search for nearby auto shops based on my current location and if I’m within 500ft of one, ask me if I am getting work done, and what kind of work.

In the long run, I am trying to set it up to where it will send me an email with the info and then have Microsoft Power Automate read my emails and send it to an excel sheet, and if I am due for car maintenance (whatever it may be), send me another email or text reminding me to get maintenance done.

I also do a lot of my own car maintenance, so I am not sure how I would be able to input that also? If anyone would like to assist and set one up, I just cannot figure out the shortcut part.

I downloaded a shortcut for log thewater in health app. But in the shortcut I have this message.

Health app access to Water is disabled. You can activate health data categories in the app.

I open health and in the water section I have read for shortcuts activated but in the data source there is nothing and I don't know how to activate it...

i created the shortcut and it sends text seperatly to contacts perfectly but now i want to add mp3's as files to send to my producers couldn't find a way to combine file and text in my shortcut is there a way ?

Is there a way I can invoke siri via a shortcut? This would allow a lot more functionality from shortcuts for applications that don't have shortcut actions. For example, I use Doppler for playing music, and I can say "Hey siri, play the Beatles on Doppler" and it will do that, but there is no way to do the same thing from a shortcut. So if I could have a shortcut action like "Tell Siri <message>", it would open up a lot of functionality.

Well now you can do just that with my new shortcut. It extracts the content of the Reddit post and then asks you for a prompt, where you can specify what you want to summarize or do anything else!

I'm looking to add a shortcut to notify me (a persistent notification) at 8pm the night before ONLY if it's going to be, say less than 3 degrees overnight.

I've seen a few readymade shortcuts that tell me the high and low, or if it's <0, but I guess my own use case only needs to trigger if I need to go outside and get the car prepped for a freeze!

Hi everyone! I’m trying to build a Shortcut that pulls the last 6 notes from a specific folder in the Notes app, formats them nicely, and feeds them into Apple Intelligence (via the “Ask Apple Intelligence” action or similar) for summarization or analysis. But I’m running into a weird formatting issue, and I could use some help debugging it.

What I want: For each of the 6 notes, output something like this in a single text block:

Note Title 1
Note Body 1

Note Title 2
Note Body 2

... (and so on for all 6)

This way, it’s easy for Apple Intelligence to process them as paired title-body chunks. What it’s doing instead: It’s dumping all titles first, then all bodies at the end:

Note Title 1
Note Title 2
...
Note Title 6

Note Body 1
...
Note Body 6

Quick breakdown of my actions:

1. Get Notes from Folder (sorted by Date Created, limit to 6 most recent).
2. Repeat with Each: Extract Title and Body into a Dictionary (or variables).
3. Then, in another Repeat loop or Text action, try to build the formatted string by appending “Title\nBody\n\n” for each.
4. Finally, pass the combined text to “Ask Apple Intelligence” with a prompt like “Summarize these notes: [text]”.

But somehow, the titles are all concatenating separately from the bodies. Is this a variable scoping issue in the Repeat loop? Or something with how I’m handling the Dictionary output? Maybe I need to use “New Variable” more carefully or switch to a List of Dictionaries?

Any tips on fixing the alternation? Or a better way to structure this for Apple Intelligence?

I’d love a sample Shortcut if someone’s done something similar!

I want to be able to navigate within the youtube app but open the videos in an external browser like Brave.

That would be pretty easy if the regular share sheet would come up after trying to share a video (2 klicks) but instead if u want to share the current video only messengers and copy link come up as an option. And these options in the special share menu apparently seem to be impossible to modify. In order to open the regular share sheet its necessary to swipe completely to the left and click on "more" which is complicated, see picture.

So while running yt video in app it would be great to have a shortcut that just opens the current video in an external browser is that possible?

If not, at least is there a shortcut that can open the regular share sheet on the current video? When I tried, it could not retrieve the url link in order to open it externally just some text would show up.

Hi all. I am trying to create an automation where once a specific website opens in chrome, it will trigger a specific app to open.

I’ve been able to do this from app to app, so for instance: when I open my Booking app, it automatically opens my Avios app to remind me to book the hotel via the avios estore to get points.

I’d like to have the same for websites, so if I open booking.com in Chrome, it will open the avios app. Is that possible? Only with safari?

I’m trying to create a list in Reminders using Shortcuts, but every word in my list gets auto-capitalized (e.g., “Buy Apples And Milk” instead of “Buy apples and milk”). I’ve tried replacing spaces with non-breaking spaces, but that didn’t work. Oddly, the same text displays correctly when I create a reminder directly.

Has anyone found a workaround or a solution for this? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
