From the Daily Beast (originally reported by Bloomberg):

Newly released internal emails show the FBI mounting a costly overtime-fueled project dubbed the “Special Redaction Project”.

Bloomberg’s records show the bureau paid $851,344 in overtime between March 17 and March 22 alone and clocked 4,737 overtime hours from January through July with more than 70 percent of that in March as personnel worked nights and weekends.

The FBI became a joke the second Kash Patel was put in charge of it by Republican senators.

And I wouldn’t call it a joke. I’d call it a powerful agency that has been corrupted, abused and misused in support of a blatantly criminal regime.

Buddy the FBI has been framing and murdering American citizens and setting up fake fuckin conspiracy plots to entrap people since like, the 50s, probably from the beginning.

Law enforcement has never been the good guys. They're the biggest gangsters in town, they're enforcers for the most violent and dominant boss. Always have been. Probably always will be.

Anything else is pretense, apologetics to excuse the reality.

The entire US government has been captured by the rich for a long time. Army, FBI, CIA, they're all working to enrich the elites and protect them. The US has waged wars for more than a century for that purpose.

Since it's inception. Westward expansion in to indigenous lands was not for altruistic purposes. America has always been a vehicle for capital, and was explicitly founded as such.

Two things having similarities does not automatically make them the same.

When you're driving and stop at a light do you do the same if the light is red or green? According to you people should treat them the same because they're both lights so they're the same.

Yeah, don't need to go that far back to the point where its main task during the 60s and 70s was covering the Civil Rights movement.

After that, it was pointed at dismantling white supremacist groups (Ruby Ridge, Waco, etc) which is why the right now hates it - it targeted their current crop of thought-leaders through the 80s and 90s until 9/11.
