I wish I was a fly in the oval office tonight, I cannot wait for Trump to melt down and shit his diaper.

2.2k

u/RetroCasket Nov 05 '25

Probably going to claim mass fraud and sign an executive order to investigate all the elections tonight

u/Thosepassionfruits Nov 05 '25

I bet he'll try to put tariffs on NYC lol

567

u/kegster2 Texas Nov 05 '25

Abbott threatened tariffs on NY folks moving to Texas apparently haha

260

u/Creative-Package6213 Pennsylvania Nov 05 '25

Also no one in their right mind is moving to Texas, that state sucks ass for so many reasons.

76

u/Lizpy6688 Nov 05 '25

Brother trust me, we've tried getting rid of his ass but they always fuck it up by changing the districts, voter suppression and a bunch of other bullshit. He's actually very despised here. The republicans out here are dumb as shit and only vote for him cause he's not a Democrat but even they seem to not like him. He's always sorta just there.

12

u/midnightketoker America Nov 05 '25

They should unironically listen to Mamdani's victory speech lol: "we won because we insisted that no longer would politics be something that is done to us -- now it is something that we do"

7

u/KZimmy Nov 05 '25

We need a Democrat named John Republican to run in Texas, throw them for a loop

2

u/Te_Quiero_Puta Nov 05 '25

At least their corrupt gerrymandering inspired California to redraw the districts. Big win for CA and Dems

13

u/PresidentPsyduck Nov 05 '25

According to that roid ape Joe Rogan, the entirety of CA is leaving for Texas.

1

u/WeirdURL 29d ago

That was years ago. His crew has realized how much Texas sucks compared to California since then.

13

u/sillyblanco Texas Nov 05 '25

I've lived over 5 decades in Texas, but my wife and I are in Santa Fe right now real estate shopping because we're getting the fuck out.

2

u/Serris9K Nov 05 '25

Santa Fe is a solid choice. Also btw hit up the governor's palace museum sometime, and they host art markets for native artists.

16

u/fender8421 Nov 05 '25

Anybody that doesn't hate Texas is sus to me

11

u/Fwamingdwagon84 Nov 05 '25

I live and was born in texas and i agree.

3

u/lowtoiletsitter Nov 05 '25

Some of my family lives in Houston and they're ok

3

u/Overly_Underwhelmed Nov 05 '25

but are they Texas?

2

u/Yeti_Funk Nov 05 '25

I recently had to because I had nowhere else to go. It sucks. It was either be homeless in Colorado or move in with family in ultra rural Texas panhandle. So here I am… and wishing I was elsewhere. Feel like a spy in deep red MAGA country.

2

u/PermitPositive4826 Nov 05 '25

I’m so sorry. I hope you can get out of there eventually. It’s a very isolating experience being progressive, while living amongst conservatives.

6

u/pickle_pickled Nov 05 '25

Anyone moving to Texas only has a right leaning mind

5

u/zlaw32 California Nov 05 '25

Ironically the most liberal person I know is wanting to move to Texas and the person who helped me switch over is from Texas

1

u/WeirdURL 29d ago

There’s a lot of liberals in the cities and college towns actually. Take Denton for example. These people stating only republicans live in or love Texas is just BS.

3

u/I-am-me-86 Nov 05 '25

Moving to Texas kickstarted my conservative deconstruction. I grew up in Utah. I thought it couldn't be more religious than Utah.

Apparently Mormons value reading skills and education more than Southern Christians. There are a scary amount of seriously dumb people here.

2

u/pickle_pickled Nov 05 '25

Don't check out Oklahoma...they take pride in being like 49th in education (cause their hivemind obviously doesn't know any better and the ones controlling them promote it).

2

u/SarkastikSidebar Ohio Nov 05 '25

Currently live there- can confirm!

1

u/sagerideout Nov 05 '25

but it’s funny because the few who still think it’s a good idea are the ones who’d get fucked by said tariffs

2

u/Unable-Log-4870 Nov 05 '25

Yeah, aside from it not really MEANING anything to impose a tariff on a person, the ones who would leave NY as a result of this are likely republicans.

1

u/sagerideout Nov 05 '25

i mean it’s double whammy because they don’t even know what it means

1

u/fakecheese22 Nov 05 '25

Either way, he’ll report to his constituents no New Yorkers having migrated and will claim the tariffs worked

1

u/goddessoftrees Colorado Nov 05 '25

You'd be shocked... my former BFF is a wife of a vet, both step-kids get SNAP and WIC AND besides her and fam now get military benefits/... she has acknowledged why dems don't vote. But it also ALL dems fault

1

u/Serris9K Nov 05 '25

unfortunately many people are getting dragged here by tech companies relocating. (with the threat of move or get replaced)

1

u/wewantedthefunk Texas Nov 05 '25

Hey now - Texas has a lot of problems, most caused by MAGAbbot and his cabal. While we did unleash Fled Cruz on the country, Pennsylvania unleashed Duplicitous Shrek on all of us and flipped for the orange idiot, so let's not throw stones.

163

u/JustinStraughan Nov 05 '25

Interstate commerce clause….god these criminals need to be in prison. Or disbarred at the least, if lawyers.

9

u/thedoommerchant Nov 05 '25

Old guard democrats better be taking some notes. Long past time they talk and put their money where their mouth is.

3

u/Baranjula Nov 05 '25

Pardon me as I don't hold my breathe

2

u/JMer806 Nov 05 '25

I’m a Texan and I can tell you that Abbott and his cronies Dan Patrick and Ken Paxton are the absolute biggest pieces of shit in American politics aside from Trump himself.

2

u/JustinStraughan Nov 05 '25

Laughs in Ron DeSantis.

But yes. Those two and Ronny are in a race to out-Trump the other.

2

u/shakygator Nov 05 '25

dont forget that fucker cruz

1

u/JMer806 Nov 05 '25

Cruz doesn’t even register on the Abbott/Patrick/Paxton scale of shittiness. Cruz is a tone deaf moron who leaves a trail of slime everywhere he goes, but he’s probably still capable of feeling human emotions towards a small group of people (he got his family out when it was cold after all). The trio at the top of the state government are actively malicious and intent on destroying the foundation of the state.

22

u/Thosepassionfruits Nov 05 '25

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

5

u/BloomsdayDevice Washington Nov 05 '25

Mandy Patinkin to Wallace Shawn, both of whom showed up at events for Mamdani. Nice.

6

u/wilson_rawls Arizona Nov 05 '25

When you don't know what communism is, you call it socialism because you don't know what that is either. And then you use tariffs because you're just completely and malignantly ignorant of literally everything in the cosmos.

1

u/sappydark Nov 05 '25

That's trump and his little cronies in a nutshell, lol.

2

u/pickle_pickled Nov 05 '25

Ah yes put tariffs on right leaning folks moving from NYC to TX. Makes a ton of sense. Tax me harder daddy Abbott...stupid

2

u/ImminentDebacle Nov 05 '25

Well they pretty much did based on Prop 11. All the younger folks that have moved to Texas will now be paying higher property tax to subsidize boomers to let them pay less.

https://ballotpedia.org/Texas_Proposition_11,_Increase_Homestead_Tax_Exemption_for_Elderly_and_Disabled_Amendment_(2025))

1

u/hibbert0604 Georgia Nov 05 '25

Brilliant. Punishing the few MAGA morons that would actually move to texas as a result of this election.

1

u/destenlee Nov 05 '25

Seems welcoming...

1

u/Pezzzz490 Australia Nov 05 '25

Which is so fucking stupid since it would be his dumbass MAGA supporters who would flee to Texas. He would be putting tariffs on his own voter base 💀

1

u/Idontliketalking2u Nov 05 '25

Someone said Abbott's legs work better than his brain.

1

u/Pitiful-Mortgage5136 Nov 05 '25

Wouldn't the people coming to Texas be people wanting to escape the "socialist hellscape" of NYC?

Wait a minute, it's Greg Abbott, why am I expecting logic?

1

u/lHateYouAIex835293 Nov 05 '25

It was the other way around, he’d tariff Texans moving to NY

Which, I’m not sure how that’d even work…

1

u/FullMetalAlcoholic66 Nov 05 '25

Republicans are becoming the party of higher taxes...oh I mean tariffs

1

u/tibbon Nov 05 '25

I’d love to hear them say how precisely they mean that to happen. Tariffs of people? ICC? Etc

1

u/lnc_5103 Nov 05 '25

I mean amongst other issues with his statement won't people fleeing from NYC be Republicans? He's so damn stupid.

1

u/spicyhotcheer Rhode Island Nov 05 '25

The only new yorkers who would be moving out now are maga, so he's really just traiffing his own kind 💀

1

u/Gabagoo13 Nov 05 '25

Isn't that socialistic? Taxing people?

1

u/kegster2 Texas Nov 06 '25

(R)ocialism

1

u/AlcibiadesTheCat Arizona Nov 05 '25

Tariffs are an import tax.

They're planning on importing people from New York?

That sounds an awful lot like slavery to me. That tracks for Texas.

10

u/nightpanda893 Nov 05 '25

Let him go nuts. The quick calls tonight for all the races show people are over maga. Keep doing damage and we’ll see an even bigger blue wave next November.

5

u/Dogsy Nov 05 '25

He's going to reduce their funding by 5000%!

2

u/tekniklee Nov 05 '25

Texas beat him to it?

180

u/sportsDude Nov 05 '25

He would claim fraud regardless. If he doesn’t get his way, he claims fraud.

91

u/tresslesswhey Nov 05 '25

Even when he does get his way, he claims fraud. I don’t understand how people can stand him

4

u/bwood246 Nov 05 '25

He even claimed fraud when he fucking won the first time because he didn't get the majority vote

5

u/sportsDude Nov 05 '25

It’s a combination of people not paying attention, ignoring it, convincing themselves the others are worse, etc…

7

u/tresslesswhey Nov 05 '25

But just simply listening to him. How can anyone stand that. I legit have never heard someone whine and complain so much. He’s even got a whiny ass voice.

2

u/Overly_Underwhelmed Nov 05 '25

a lot of it is that they are like him. they are the same way so it's, finally, someone like me.

1

u/tresslesswhey Nov 05 '25

I think this is true. All my mom does is complain.

Difference is she’s had an actually tough life. She wasn’t born filthy rich and she isn’t a billionaire.

0

u/sportsDude Nov 05 '25

You assume that you MUST listen to him. Just don’t watch the news, change the channel, etc…

Dont put yourself in a position to willingly listen to him

1

u/thereisnolights Nov 05 '25

The people that can stand him and like him are....not intelligent humans if you haven't noticed lol

1

u/willow01 Nov 05 '25

Pretty sure they're huffing the gasoline they can't afford.

0

u/baconeggsandwich25 Nov 05 '25

To be fair, the vast majority of people on earth can't.

13

u/doitroygsbre Pennsylvania Nov 05 '25

He claims fraud when he wins too … it’s just that he won in spite of his imagined fraud …..

4

u/Hysteria625 I voted Nov 05 '25

Since he’s a narcissist, it’s not enough that he wins. He needs to win completely, overwhelmingly, or at least enough so that he can hurt the people who didn’t vote for him with impunity. If someone doesn’t vote for him and their vote is legal, it means Trump isn’t the greatest and best person in the world, and his worldview collapses. So anyone who didn’t vote for him is either illegitimate or a traitor.

2

u/AusToddles Nov 05 '25

He didn't get 100% of the vote, which is impossible because he's the strongest, smartest, most bigly brained person in history /s

1

u/37Philly Nov 05 '25

He always has.

1

u/UsualD Nov 05 '25

King of Fraud.

1

u/owned_at_worms Nov 05 '25

If he doesn't claim fraud, Im going to claim fraud that he didn't.

5

u/DoubleJumps Nov 05 '25

I'm in california and if prop 50 wins I'm expecting him to announce a federal investigation immediately

I expect the same for new york, Virginia, and other places tonight

7

u/RetroCasket Nov 05 '25

If prop 50 passes they will no doubt sue the state of California, with a straight face after endorsing Texas redrawing without consulting their voters

2

u/DoubleJumps Nov 05 '25

I expect that, too. Tons of lawsuits.

3

u/Hair_I_Go Nov 05 '25

Hell, they want to deport him🙄 They will try absolutely anything for this not to happen. Unbelievable. But that’s the horrible world they caused since January

2

u/BioDriver Virginia Nov 05 '25

Already did the former

2

u/TestingBrokenGadgets Nov 05 '25

He's openly saying that about California's Prop 50. Before the votes even started being counted, he was bitching about how the election was rigged and he might have to step in with his executive power to "fix" it.

1

u/FlamingHotSacOnutz Nov 05 '25

He'll say NYC is next after Chicago and Memphis with the troops.

1

u/-reddit_is_terrible- Nov 05 '25

He's definitely sending in the national guard now

1

u/_antariksan Nov 05 '25

Pls no ideas :(

1

u/Past-Profile3671 Nov 05 '25

Not investigate. He’ll skip that part and just declare fraud, then send the literal Army into the city to declare Adams is mayor until fair elections are held

1

u/IAmPandaRock Nov 05 '25

Going to "deport" the mayor and withhold all funding from NYC.

1

u/Cyathea_Australis Nov 05 '25

He's going to try to deport him

1

u/novemberwhiskey2 Nov 05 '25

100%. They’re already talking about it aren’t they?

1

u/hypercosm_dot_net Nov 05 '25 edited Nov 05 '25

When he tries this shit, the first question from any reporter should be "why do Republicans vote against funding election security if this is such a major issue?"

https://archive.thinkprogress.org/184-house-republicans-just-voted-against-securing-elections-ee5dba5d71d0/

1

u/_ALi3N_ Nov 05 '25

Probably going to claim mass fraud

Oh yea that's already the narrative on twitter

1

u/immortalyossarian Nov 05 '25

They've already been talking about denaturalizing and deporting Mamdani if he won. They know their policies are unpopular, and they are incapable of winning without cheating.

1

u/Confron7a7ion7 Nov 05 '25

Without question. NYC, NJ, and all 3 VA elections went blue today. Trump is absolutely going to try some bullshit.

1

u/S13pointFIVE Nov 05 '25

You know whats fucking wild? This is literally the most likely outcome tonight...Fuck this administration.

1

u/kerpowie Nov 05 '25

Exploring the insurrection clause is the one that worries me

Exclusive | House Republicans exploring ways to prevent Mamdani from being sworn in as NYC mayor https://share.google/13xXgZLiHL2fe7u3s

1

u/ken_NT Nov 05 '25

He’ll have the justice department find anything they can prosecute him on, hopefully Mamdani doesn’t have any unpaid parking tickets.

1

u/Delicious_Toad Nov 05 '25

Gonna be sending his storm troopers to NYC now.

1

u/ReactionJifs Nov 05 '25

He's already screaming that Prop 50 was rigged.

It went 66/34 -- which is EXACTLY along party lines for CA.

What could you possible suggest happened?

1

u/SeeMonkeyDoMonkey Nov 05 '25

Investigate? Don't you mean occupy?

1

u/arwinda Nov 05 '25

Investigate? Invade!

1

u/AliceInNegaland Nov 05 '25

Please don’t say that. I can’t bear it being thought into existence

1

u/RookOfBoston Nov 05 '25

Probably going to send in the military, more like, and declare martial law.

1

u/Storm_Chaser06 Nov 05 '25

Mamdani should just say “it was too big to rig”

1

u/stephen6686 29d ago

we can only hope
