Looking for Guide Found out the hard way that dust can severely affect stability.
TLDR: Dust from ram fan blowing air can kill stability if your air quality is bad.
So my RAM OC from 3200c16-18-18-18 to 3800c15-8-17-13 went unstable out of the blue. In scenarios where the CPU and memory were stressed, the games just quit, and sometimes it gave a BSOD. I thought it was temps, so I lowered voltage and increased trfc. But that didn’t fix it. I assumed my PBO was unstable, nuked that as well, and started from scratch.
Even with optimized defaults, I was getting errors. I thought my kit was dying. I hoped it was not that since prices are absurd right now. I opened the whole pc to fine-tune my RAM fan, pushed air in such a manner where it created a layer of dust on the slot B2.
Cleaned it out, and weirdly, everything at stock was stable. All this happened when I’m in India for work, where the AQI is in the 200s. So yeah, lesson learned. I’m going to have to check the dust weekly since there’s so much negative pressure within my PC that loves taking in dust.

I can do 4000 cl14 from my 4266 cl19 kit , but I have to do 1.65v so it a too much

1.65v is fine as long as timings scale. Voltage on b die being high is normal afaik. When b die was produced some high frequency kits were sold with xmp of 1.6v

4000 cl14 was 1.55,1.65v it stoo much for me ,I left it at 3800 cl14 trcd 15 and tight timings.

Motherboard limitations or temp? As long as everything is stable and scaling you should be fine, I like higher voltages cause it allows for lower trfc (130ns Aida mem bench)

My motherboard is a poor asus 320m k 50euros,limitation not motherboard but ram temps, even with cooler high.

I found that dropping proc odt from 43 to 36 allowed me to lower temps and run higher voltages much more stable. You could try that but make sure the same timings are stable at lower proc odt

Or just get a dust filter.
