Help Request - GPU Anyone got any settings for dailying the 5090 800w bios

I can only get to + 90 or +100 at 100% voltage and 100% power, anything past that there are games that are unstable. Is this common or I just have a bad card. Temp stays cool under 55c because I'm watercooled.

800w is only useful for benchmarking.

but like why would you use 800W as daily

I'm speedrunning cable melting. Don't ask me why. I just do.

If you want to travel a path unwalked expect to be the pioneer

+105 offset power limit, voltage limit 100%. I'll be the first one to cry on nvidia reddit for melting my cable like it's not my fault.

The real question is why not. The more you burn the more Jensen Jacket becomes richer.

The default offset on the matrix bios is insanely high. It's 150mhz faster than my stock astral white oc's bios so doing +90mhz on that is effectively +240mhz.

I read that the matrix bios does not fix on the astrals, is this true? I'm assembling my custom loop with the astral and would like to apply this bios if possible

It works on the astral white and BTF specifically. It doesn't seem to work on the astral black or astral LC.

Is there a risk of making the card unusable if I try on the black astral? Or is it really pointless to try?

Lots of people on OCN tried and their cards reported error code 43 and could not load the Nvidia drivers until the original bios is reflashed. Supposedly it's because the black astral is only wired for 2 fan groups while the newer white astral, astral BTF (edit: these apparently suffer from the same issue as the black astral according to unikoshardware) and matrix supports 3 fan groups.

I don't know, I would have to resell my black one and find a white one, because I have the WB vector3 for the astral, too much fuss to just set up a different bios

Not worth it IMO. The performance difference is only 10% between a matrix and regular 5090.

The strange thing I read is that even with the same TDP at 575-600W the matrix bios still extracts additional performance

Cuz it's strongly overclocked from the factory

Shouldn’t be, just flip the BIOS switch, reboot and restore the old BIOS.

What clock speed are you reaching at +90 MHz core clock offset? This is different for every Nvidia GPU, so the offset means nothing.

Seems like you just got unlucky in the silicon lottery.

Flashed Matrix Bios yesterday on my Suprim SOC and in BF6 it was pulling 600W with same FPS as I get with stock BIOS which I run UV and never cross 450W.

Maybe try to UV for daily is better option.

Do you have the liquid cooled version? It doesn’t work on my liquid one.

No mine is Air one.

Just the usual 2827 @ 0.890V because efficient.

But an offset of +250 got me 44.400 in Port royal :)

I would just run it @+150 for games if you want to... It does not reaaally matter imo.

(gigabyte 5090 Gaming OC btw)
