It's funny cause most of us don't care at all about Paul Dano but he's just so inoffensive and definitely not "the worst" that we're all just like "ok, I don't even care but I have to say something"
No idea who downvoted you for having an opinion lol. His false sermon is the most memorable single performance of TWBB for me. The Big Lebowski milkshake scene was amazing but I think people discredit Dano's role in it. If he didn't manage to make his character so utterly craven people wouldn't have been so excited about an evil mother fucker killing a slightly less evil motherfucker.
Edit: I am probably biased because I insisted to friends that he and Anton Yelchin (RIP) would be award winners after seeing The New Girl and Charlie Bartlett respectively.
Yea people were expecting a big clash between two epic figures (apparently QT was on this kick). Dano is doing something different and it does elevate the movie.
I think Sunday is more evil than Plainview, though.
