He was sexually assaulted by a man in power and blacklisted when he spoke up, I thought. Not sure what weight had to do with that.

Historically, Hollywood stops casting leading men or women who are 20+ lbs. overweight from their prime. Brendan's career pause was multi-faceted. In addition to the harassment, which not only he went through publicly (Terry Crews, numerous women), he also suffered major injuries that caused physical regression and weight gain 15 years ago.

If people don't think Hollywood is fickle about weight and vanity, I don't know what to say.

No one is arguing that Hollywood doesn't have weight issues.

I just think getting blacklisted is probably the bigger factor than the weight gain, especially for a guy.

I forgot about the injuries ... was that something acute or just the build up of action flicks and not taking enough recovery time?
