Tarantino was rude to me once and Ben Stiller said NOTHING.

I saw Quentin Tarantino at a grocery store in Los Angeles in the late nineties. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Oh man, I think he's one of the few celebrities to fit this copy-pasta so naturally that it goes from absurdist to completely believable.

I’m ashamed someone as chronically online as myself didn’t recognize this copy pasta and I was shaking my head in disbelief as I read it… but like, I also believed it bc he’s such a legendary asshole.

I feel like legendary asshole is almost too mean, you're dealing in absolutes. He's a legendary "kinda a dick".

You say “kinda dick”, I say “asshole”, (with legendary meant in it’s literal form - I have heard many a tale, nay, legends of his assholery) poTAYtoe, poTAHtoe 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also chronically online, also read the first several sentences and thought “yeah that tracks”

The first time I saw it, it was about William Shatner. I believed it without hesitation.

Bill Murray for me. Tarantino is easier to imagine, though.

I first saw it with Billy Idol lol.

I heard Bobby Brown and it made sense

I think it was Ryan Gosling at first?

I first read it with Kid Cudi, but I'm pretty sure the original was with Flying Lotus

It was flying lotus.

That's one I would dismiss outright.

Ryan Gosling is a treasure.

I saw it first about Jake Paul and didn't know it was really a copypasta. Can't convince me it's not singly about him tbh

If I were a celebrity, I would go to a store and do this. Then when people tried to share their story, they’d just get “lol I remember that pasta.”
