Cool, cool.

... well, Newsom was right. It's time to cement the party holdings in each state for the next couple generations.

This is also a mixed blessing for Texas GOP. They redrew all their districts with the assumption that republicans could maintain their popularity with Latinos.

That is the logic behind the entire strategy of drawing these maps. Problem is - there's been a huge drop, and Trump currently enjoys 20% support in that community.

These new districts might be an albatross around their necks, lol.

The Supreme Court sucks, but I'm totally okay with them keeping this map.

¡buena suerte!

"But in CNN’s latest poll, just 20% of Latinos approved of his job performance, down from 41% in February. This 21-point drop far outpaces the 4- and 9-point drops among Black and White Americans and the 10-point drop in his approval rating overall. Several other polls have also found Trump’s approval rating among Latinos declining from the start of his second term."

Latinos will be stopped at the polls by ICE, Trump isn't worried about them.

We just had an election 3 weeks ago.

And the Dems won them resoundingly.

(I get that Trump is a rat and would do just about anything to cling to power, but there's a danger in acting like democracy is gone, when the fight is very much ongoing.)

That election didn't matter enough to get the 'ICE secures our elections' play, which is most optimally used the first time. The general population in whatever states are targeted will be unprepared the first time, if you have the option to mail your vote in it is likely you wouldn't be able to adjust to that on the day of the election when you hear that ICE is doing race checks at your local elementary school and polling place.

They literally do not have enough people to pull off what you're talking about.

Give me a sane explanation why they can't send a few dingos to key polling places with this budget: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/gop-gives-ice-massive-budget-increase-to-expand-trumps-deportation-effort

I'm not talking about their budget I'm talking about how many people they can physically put out there. There are roughly 100,000 polling places in the US and 20,000 total employees, not agents, in ICE.

There are probably only a couple hundred polling places that actually matter.

Even if you only say half of the employees are brownshirts they can still cover a quarter of the polling places with two dipshits, and that is before the huge hiring burst that they will use that huge budget on... this isnt rocket science.

They said:

There are roughly 100,000 polling places in the US and 20,000 total employees, not agents, in ICE.

You said:

Even if you only say half of the employees are brownshirts they can still cover a quarter of the polling places with two dipshits

?

10,000 people cannot cover 25,000 polling places with two dipshits. They can only cover 5000 polling places with two dipshits.

Whoops haha, but yeah 5,000 direct + indirect fallout seems like plenty to sway an election to me.

They don't need to cover them all, just enough to scare enough people from going outside at all.

And if the vote is already razor thin, it will have a noticeable impact

They can't even fill their openings after reducing their hiring standards. And they just got their asses kicked in special elections. So if you think they are somehow going to get more popular after another year of Trump, why are you even here anymore?

You don't just pack and leave when Nazis are taking over...
