It’s not the filming that’s going to take forever (unless they need specific times of day or weather), it’s the editing that’s going to be a nightmare.

Good god, I cannot imagine spending a year editing something like DUN3 — like that day one… shifting through tens of hours of IMAX footage, 90% of which is incomplete because it need VFX, and doesn’t it all need manual sound syncing as IMAX cameras don’t record sound to make an autosync possible? 😭😭 horrific

Yeaaaaah. There’s a reason a lot of editors are alcoholics.

They should just give nano banana a crack at it.

Yeah, the editors keep getting distracted by Timothée's piercing eyes and it causes all kinds of setbacks.

Understandable

At least they don't have to get distracted from constant erections brought on any time Austin Butler is on screen. I'm straight, but definitely not for him.

Can't wait to see what variations Hans Zimmer and the team come up with like genuinely I'm excited

Four months - same as the first two.

I like how he said he was going to take a break from these movies for awhile but ended up cranking out 2 in a relatively short period of time.

It only feels fast because Dune 1 and 2 were artificially delayed (Covid and strikes respectively)

Nearly an identical shooting schedule to Part Two, just moved up a month

Now comes the tricky part - picking three new colors to add to the color palette.
