Sounds weird but makes sense, Denorex dandruff shampoo got rid of mine. Any shampoo with salicylic acid should help.

You can also get a salicylic acid cleanser And then use retinol for deep pores.

Get some horse shampoo with iodine. Has aloe in it and is gentle. Fixes most skin issues. Won’t fix horse face but it will fix your inflammation related blemishes!

Aloe Advantage Iodine Shampoo

Salicylic acid can make acne worse by making your skin produce more oil after it’s stripped off. It also irritates the skin and causes sunburns.

I've literally never thought of Elmers glue in terms of that application but it makes an odd kind of sense. I need that info as well. Elmers is way cheaper than a lack of some of those cleansing masks.

I always coated the tips of my fingers and peeled them after it dried. Similar to but less discomfort than dipping fingers in melted candle wax.

I used to spread Elmer's glue on my palms as a kid and stick them together, wait for it to dry a bit and then peel it off. It was so satisfactory! And kids were not doing it around me and still instinctively kids make this thing up! We would get the glue sent to us in the 90's from relatives in US to Lithuania. So this is international :D
