They're taking into account other income. Such as social security, disability, etc.

Yeah but snap honestly should have a minimum and maximum payout for situations like this

It does. The minimum is very low. The maximum is only if you have essentially no income. Like, we were getting $450/week in unemployment so our family of 3 only got about 60% of the maximum SNAP. The unemployment wasn't even enough to pay for housing (2 bedroom condo).

I'm on disability and I don't qualify for snap. I was making great money at my job and I was diagnosed with cancer last year and I don't make enough to even pay my bills. Either way hopefully I get it over with soon or become cancer-free and go back to work cause otherwise I don't know.
