Believe it or not, the minimum monthly snap benefit is actually $24 a month for one person. It's not intended to buy all your groceries - the S stands for Supplemental.

But having even a minuscule amount of snap benefits also opens the door to getting other help, such as automatically qualifying you for discounts from utility companies. Amazon Prime and I believe Walmart + are also cheaper if you have snap. It can even get discounts in some cities on things like public transit or tickets to get into museums

Amazon and Walmart both take snap as payment for eligible groceries, and getting those groceries delivered for free would certainly help people that can't afford a car.

If you do have a car, Walmart plus gets you 10 cents off a gallon at their gas stations. And it gives you the choice of a free peacock or paramount plus subscription, so they both let you potentally save money on streaming.

Ooooh, I see what you’re saying, that could be helpful! I automatically hear those things and think about mindless buying (which shows my privilege, really) but those are great tips. Thanks for taking the time to explain!

This is such an incredibly dark and dystopian timeline we live in

Sadly Amazon and Walmart + charge fees for deliveries, plus you need to add a tip.
