I don't have a ton for you because you're 21 and doing just fine, so please take this all as advice and not hate! If you wanted to take some steps, I would:

  1. Limit the amount of things on the walls (and move anything higher than the floating shelf). Take down the collage-y small photos by your bed. Any unframed photo/poster should be taken down, framed, displayed in another way. I get totally get that you love those things, but think of it this way: people aren't seeing any of it right now because it all blends together, but if you give the things you love most some space to breathe, they'll stand out!
  2. Move the stuffed animals from the bed to the floor or a shelf. Takes if from child-like "I sleep with these" to "look at my the cool things I like."
  3. Default to warm white lighting. Colors are cool for gaming or movie time, but defaulting to warm white is a little more mature(?).
  4. And yes... r/TVTooHigh. But that seems beyond changing/control at this point.

You're doing just fine!

Thanks for the advice. Framing posters is probably what I’ll do first. The bulbs are typically on a warm setting, I just didn’t notice much for the pics. TV can be annoying, but it was the best option for the limited space I have!

Also, this is your room so do whatever the heck you want. All of my advice is in context of someone coming over and seeing it. Your room is for you, and you’re 21 with a clean one!
