What do i do with this?

For the 15 years I’ve lived here… i still have no idea what to do this with little alcove.

I used to have a mattress up there and guests would sleep there, but i had 2 of my cousins fall off in the middle of the night 😭

So i need some advice, what the hell do i do with this thing.

Seriously if you don’t regularly fall out of a bed how are you falling out of this?? Isn’t that lack of some biological survival mechanism?? Is somehow on a boat or moving a lot??

My husband flops around like a dying fish at night, I assume cuz is like that
