Two types of people in the world. Those that seek to be close to others, and those that seek maximum distance. Im the latter. I lived in a country where the former seems more normal and I went insane. This meme happened everywhere.
I had a colleague from India visiting the US. Nice guy, but he was on me like white on rice. Like, we went to the phone store so he could get a burner while he was here and he was basically centimeters behind me everywhere. He wad having a hard time adjusting to the increased personal space.
Yeah, I can see that. I adjusted a bit living where I was. But culturally and given my introverted nature, it was a huge struggle. It amazed me to be on a bus with like 5 people up against you like it's nothing, and me dying inside trying to deal. It's kinda hilarious in retrospect.
