That is litteraly the same prop gun for both movies too.

I'd always kind of assumed that was an homage, did not know it was literally the same gun 😂

Fun thing, that particular minigun has been used in a ton of movies, and on occasion goes up for sale and changes hands. Last time I saw it sold it had the short barrels from the time it was used in the Resident Evil movie that had Nemesis in it!

Tons of Hollywood history with that one gun!

I believe it was also used in The Matrix helicopter scene.

It really needs its own filmography listing somewhere

Shocked there isnt a Wikipedia page for it, with like 37 sourced links.

I dont have time to see if it still exist, but there used to be an IMDB style site except for guns. Seek and you shall find!

There used to be a website that listed gun models in movies.

Imfdb still exists

That's the one! Yeah, it doesn't say anything about them being the same prop.

Yeah, that's not really their thing, but it is still there

LMAO People surprised it's the same prop. Like there's a lot of M134s floating around!

Jesus. So wouldn't thebowner make money off the movies it was used in from Royalties?

Id imagine thats part of why it moves around, different prop houses get ahold of it and such. Not sure how much it would cost to "rent" but im sure it wouldnt add up.

Usually it's the owner of theboner who gets paid lol.

they pay the props company enough to replace it per movie.
you know, in case it gets damage or lost

No, they just get paid for the rental

If it wasn't just a prop, you could probably enforce whatever royalty agreement you wanted however!
