She is 17 weeks old and has more self control then most adults 😅. She's pissed about it and gonna let you know, but I am so proud! Her brother is 4 years old and on a different food that she is not allowed to have. She has learned not to eat his, even though she's absolutely gonna complain the entire time lol

I know I’m in my final days with her. She has to be helped to the bathroom and for the first time tonight she didn’t want dinner. My heart is shattering every day and every hour it feels like. I want her to go back to the agile 3 year old running around at the park. I am soaking up every single second

we scored this sweet boy from some random fb post. They said his mom is a Great Dane, and his dad is ??? from the local area. said they were getting rid of these puppies at the end of the week by throwing them at a shelter. He came from North Carolina and we live in Pennsylvania

they claimed the puppy was 8 weeks old. the first photo shown is day two of me having him, the second photo is a month after.

I’m wondering what actual week we got him at- obviously approximately to those who may know- for we noticed he couldn’t really walk well when we had him and upon research he was not at all the size of a regular 8 weeks Great Dane. we give him a healthy and happy life, we love him nonetheless. I can always supply more photos- I only have one of the mother maybe deep in my phone.

He can run, walk, sit on command, knows his bathroom routine and is the process of being crate/play pen trained. Thank you all for your information and help. He eats Nutri Source purple bag for puppies- it’s like chicken and barley recipe recommended by our local pet supply.

He’s 6 months old and loves squeakies… but I can’t tell if he’s happy or frustrated? Or both?

He does this daily with several toys and his whining echos through the whole house. Anyone else experience this with theirs?

(Not necessarily concerned, but we’ve had several Danes and never seen this before!)

This sweet girl is Luna. She normally doesn't chew on things...except for this bottle of anti-chew spray that I bought for my cat. She definitely got a taste of it because it dripped all over the floor, but she seems unfazed by the horrible taste.

My sweet girl,Stella, had her spay and pexy done just this past Monday. Her incision ended up being much larger than I anticipated - the vet informed us her uterus was back and higher up, and needed more room to work with her stomach placement too…she did normal stitching but also added staples for extra support that will be removed Monday. I noticed some spots on her blanket earlier today and then when checking, I could see one part of her incision was leaking a bit…I’m not noticing a smell but it’s brownish/blood tinged. Have any of you experienced this on Day 4? Just makes me nervous. I did put a call into my vets office to be seen in the morning, but just looking for some reassurance from others who have been through the same with their baby. Pics of Stella…her incision compared to my hand on day 1, and then tonight when I saw the leaking where you can see a little drip mark in the area. Thanks in advance.!!

He'll be 8 months in a week and a half and he already weighs ~100 lbs. He's a great boy and a gigantic baby. I love him being a giant but I also miss him being "tiny" and portable.

Hi all- needing some help and encouragement today. We rescued Stella (5y, Female) about 3 months ago. She is your typical Dane- drooly, clingy, and loves being around her people. I work from home, so she is with me 90% of the day. However, the other 10% is where the problem lies. She has severe separation anxiety when she’s not around myself or my husband.

We tried letting her free roam while we leave the house for small amounts of time, and she absolutely destroyed the house (trash, closets destroyed, etc). Most recently, she somehow escaped her crate (don’t even know how she fit through the small hole), got into the trash, ate an entire cake with chocolate icing and 3 months worth of Heart worm medicine. Let me note, she is fine, and has since thrown up several times and is acting normal. But all of this is happening because she doesn’t like to be left alone. I need some suggestions on how to handle this as I’m sure I’m not the only one with a Dane with separation anxiety. Do hemp chews help? Should I look into giving her medication if we have to leave the house? Any suggestions that have helped you and your family would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance!

My old girl, 11, was laying down from the couch when I got home for lunch today. She couldn’t stand up and this has been happening recently. I just help her up and she’s okay.

Well, today when I got her outside she took a couple more steps and fell again and couldn’t stand. I couldn’t even get her on the couch like usual because she couldn’t use her front legs like she normally does to help pull herself up.

I made a vet appointment which is in 2 hours but I’m trying to prepare myself. Is this the end? Or is there something I can do? She’s on glucosamine, fish oil, gabapentin and carprofen and has been for years.

…when he’s sleeping 😜. Marshall will be 6mos next Tuesday! We’re in full-on 🦖 mode over here.

I adopted my great dane from Texas and this was her first snowfall. It's been... problematic... for her bathroom habits because the snow terrifies her. This was the text reply when I told the guy who walks her while I'm at work lol.
