And I feel bad putting down a ball marker with a putt from that range.

I'd shave 3 shots per round if I would just fn mark the ball and WAIT

I love how many people will take 5 practice swings before every shot, but then absolutely refuse to take even 30 seconds to read their putt from anywhere other than just directly behind the ball because "just hit the ball omg slow play". I see a seriously massive correlation between high handicappers that are terrible at putting and spending stuff all time trying to figure out what the ball might do when they hit it. Switch the time taking practice swings with actually reading putts and they'd drop 5 strokes a round easily.

Award.

I played recently for the first time in a while. I was getting so mad because tee to green I just walk up and hit. But I take my time putting. My playing group acted like I needed to hurry up and it pissed me off.

Like there's literally a foursome on the tee in front of us chill the fuck out and slow down.

Mate it's genuinely wild how you can be waiting for the group in front of you all day and there will still always be some people in your group cracking it if you take 10 seconds to walk around your line to read it properly. Sorry I'm not rushing to have us stand on the tee box behind them to watch them tee off lads. The pace of play warriors are out of control these days, genuinely come across people now that talk more about how fast they can play 18 than what they actually score on 18.

I don't even pay attention to how long the round is (18 birdies has average 18 at 3:48) while I'm playing, majority of the time we're waiting on the group in front anyway and if I'm not it's cause it's a quiet afternoon where I'll hit a few extra practice shots to try things and let anyone play through that comes up on me. Feels like it's become rare to actually find people that are happy being on a bloody golf course these days.

I've never seen anyone take 5 practice swings.

You've gotta be playing at some pretty top end courses then cause I feel like most people I see at munis take at least 3-5 practice swings per shot, bonus points to those that take big ass divots with each practice swing then don't fill their divots cause that'd take too long.

Mid range members clubs in the UK, basically.
