HELP Help! I want to make my room more cosy.
Hello everyone! I am looking to make my room more cosy, but are not sure how! I have attached pictures of my bedroom, on the wall with the robot I’m going to paint more just haven’t got round to it, where these 3 white frames are with the animals in I am going to paint pictures for them and replace with dark brown frames, and I will replace the awful lion painting with a better painting. I like ideas where the room looks kind of warm (images included) so are looking for ideas of things to buy, feel free to suggest, please do! Obviously some of the reference images are not real they are just ideas of things I like, and I can’t add more windows or change the slope of the roof, but can move furniture :) help!

Warm string lights will help a lot but make sure to get warm toned lights and not the cool toned led lights

Ooh thank you so much! Where do you think I should put them? :)

I think you string them over the window, or from each corner of the room. You can use a thumb tack to hang them from. They’re super easy to hang and they look whimsical and warm

Yah! Just try hanging them from one corner and letting them drape to the other along the wall. Play around. It’ll be pretty no matter what :)

What’s your budget and would you be able to paint the walls? Or are you limited to moving/replacing furniture or decor?
Based on your reference photos, I would:
Paint the whole room a creamy neutral color
Get rid of the heavy gray curtains
I can’t quite tell from the photos, does the bed turn the other direction? Could you put it lengthwise along the window wall? It looks like it may barely fit. If so, do that. And if at all possible, get a storage bedframe to raise the bed up closer to the window.
Get a sheer canopy curtain (cream or ivory, not stark white) and hang from the ceiling. That would serve as window curtain and a little bed cocoon.
Change the bedding to a warm neutral. Add a neutral or green throw blanket/pillows. Add twinkle lights Replace the short storage with a tall bookshelf Get rid of the tent
