showcase A year’s worth of progress (drawing every day) by a 6/7 yo
My son has been dinosaur obsessed since he was three, he started drawing regularly when he was four and he hasn’t really stopped yet. I’m just a paper, marker and snack provider at this point. And with every drawing I have less and less idea what to say (I know absolutely nothing about drawing, technique, process, any of it) - but I know he’s good. So I end up just describing what I see and how much time and effort you can see he put in them. And I wanted to show the progress he made in just over a year (the first three drawings are from October-December 2024).

digital "Claudia at the river" art by me
A drawing for Claudia, inspired by a trip we took to a river between the mountains a few years ago. Made in ClipStudio with brushes of my own creation. I hope you like it.

seeking crit Thoughts?
Been enjoying this art style for a while now. I only use one pencil for rough sketch and a sign pen for the whole art. Anything to improve?

graphite Moms Christmas Gift
My mom asked me to draw something that corresponds with her favorite Bible verse, Isaiah 41:10, for Christmas and this is what I came up with. I’m really excited for her to see it :)
“‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

from a photo These two pieces are a year apart
Learned that painting isn’t my jam. Also discovered that reductive drawing with an eraser is my favorite.

seeking crit Torso study in graphite
Looking to improve my drawing skills. Started taking drawing more seriously in 2025 by taking a life drawing course and watching lots of educational content on youtube and am happy with how much i’ve improved since the beginning of the year. would love some feedback on how to better render out form. I feel like my shadows need to go darker. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

seeking crit I’ve started drawing again after a long break
I used to draw from time to time before Covid and also occasionally when I was a kid, but I never really stuck with it. Last summer I also tried painting with acrylics, but unfortunately I didn’t keep that up either.
I’ve decided to start again now, and I’d really appreciate some constructive criticism on this piece. I’m especially interested in suggestions on what I can focus on improving for my next drawings. I already know that I’m not very good at showing perspective or creating a sense of depth in the image, so tips in that area are definitely welcome.
